The Il-76MD-90AE modification is a major overhaul of the well-proven Il-76MD military transport aircraft. The main designation of the aircraft is to transport and airdrop military and civil bulky cargoes, military equipment, including tanks and personnel.
Maximum payload of the aircraft is 60 tons, it is equipped with modern, reliable engines with FADEC-type digital control system. The Il-76MD-90AE fully complies with the current ICAO requirements and can be operated around the world without restrictions.

I really love the Il-76............. looks like a beast, and the oldest versions sound like it too......... Back in the 90s the older versions flown very often to Rotterdam Airport....... (Not)Occasionally they arrived during night time.........windows open or windows closed...........the Il-76 didn't care what you did...........it literally screamed you out of bed.. A couple of times I noticed that many neighbors open their curtains or blinds a bit, and then looked outside with a rather bewildered face.... Upon arrival during the day you could see its impressive appearance (and plumes of smoke) coming from afar. And the often overloaded and therefore low-flying departures made our double-glazed windows shaking like a straw.... Great memories!!! I'm glad to have a couple of wonderful looking scale models of it........

Amazing aircraft. As a former military contractor I flew from sharjah into camp bastion sitting next to the navigator downstairs. Incredible I would love to experience again.

This aircraft is a combination of best 2 worlds! A combination of the best Soviet effectiveness of the simplicity and reliability and the best of the modern digital technology! And that in combination gives you one of the best military aircraft in the world if not THE BEST!!! If I was in charge of equipment of the military of my countrys army, I would definitely choose all that Mother Russia can offer! And I'm telling you, I'd have the best equipped army in the world!! 😎🌍🇷🇺💪👍

Second best army in Ukraine that is ;-) Psssst....Army = ground, Navy = surface of water (Ok, Russian navy in black sea = Special military ops below surface units like Moscow etc.), and finally (this is kind of important), Airforce = Metal birds that fly around in the air. If its got dark brown or black trails coming out of the engines at all levels, its typically a Russian plane like this. If not, its prob +30 year more modern western planes, but still airforce. If your army fly in planes, what should that poor airforce of yours do? oh, perhaps helicopters operating below surface as seen in Ukraine too? 🤔

@@ChipMIK Russia will never be the best army in Ukraine, especially in the eyes of the Ukrainian men who fought on the front and most likely their relatives and kids, it's obvious they are gonna be hated by them, but hey, such is life, everyone chooses their own paths and wars. And pls don't be offended by me calling you a smart ass, friends call each other worse names than that! You know what's funny though, is that alot of folk who are clearly upset about the fact that Ukraine has no chance of winning this conflict, which was obvious from the start, they always say : "Russian tank turrets are popping off here and there in Ukraine" and "helicopters on the ground" and all that jazz... It's like, really?? Is that all there is to it? It suddenly makes Ukrainian army so bloody owesome??! That happens in every conflict, especially when Ukrainians were on the defensive positions when Russians arrived with their cavalry, and when most of later Russian tanks have the carousel auto loader beneath the turret, and when the shells catch fire or get a direct hit they explode and pop the turret off in doing so!? Well, so is the Ukrainian tanks, the ones that of Soviet type! So what??!! Does that automatically make Ukrainian forces better or something?! I can imagine there are thousands tanks and all different types of machinery lying all fecked, it's war peeps! That's what usually happens there! Anyhow, enuf of the war shit, you have a good day m8!
