I'm glad too,but you know that old saying" be careful what you wish for". How many times in life you really look forward to something, and it wasn't nearly as good as you thought? I hope Shohei can be like LeBron. A Super human athlete who can stay healthy, and perform at an elite level way longer than any other good player. He has to have a tremendous wear already on his pitching arm,. Along, with batting, he does way more than anyone else as far as strain on your body. If he can hit high 30's to 50 homers over the next 6 to 8 seasons, with over a 100 runs scored, and 100 Rbi's he's worth it packing the house and more International Interest. If he can pitch that's a bonus. But, if people expect him to keep doing both don't be surprised if has serious shoulder/elbow/arm problems.

That $700 mil is a lot of stress on Ohtani to not have a Puljos decline in the 2nd half of this ten year contract. A lot of stress on opponent pitcher’s to not plunk Ohtani on accident, sending him to the DL. Why should families have to pay $100 for a ballpark hot dog and $50 for a Pepsi so Ohtani can purchase 7,000 elite yachts and three space shuttles. Ohtani is an extraordinary talent, but no one deserves anywhere near this kind of $.

Hopefully the Dodgers use Ohtani differently than the Angels did, so it doesn’t impact other pitchers so much. Instead of having him pitch every 6th day he should pitch every 5th dal like every other starter BUT miss a start in the rotation once a month. In the end he would end up with 150 IP just like he does pitching every 6th day. But this way other pitchers won’t be impacted so much by pitching every 6th day. And Ohtani has always wanted to pitch every 5th day so he will be ok with this if the Dodgers are. By having Ohtani on the roster you basically get an extra roster spot to use because he only counts as one player. Dodgers could use that extra roster spot on a good long reliever. A guy that is cool with making 1 start a month and pitching out of the bullpen the rest of the time. Sort of like Price was with the Dodgers
