The Ghost of The Ironworks Do you all remember the episode, "Scaredy Engines"? Where Edward told the others about a ghost roaming in the smelters yards, or otherwise as the "Ironworks" at Killdane? In this story, is about that engine, & how it became "The Ghost of The Ironworks". Year: 1914 Long before Arry & Bert, the ironworks twins, worked at the ironworks, there was once an engine that used work there. This engine was an Caledonian Railway Class 812, like Donald & Douglas, he had black paint with yellow stripes, he also had an pair of yellow buffer beams on both his front & his tender at the back, with the words, "KILLDANE IRONWORKS" on both sides on his tender. He was originally called by his number 57645, but his crew called him "Dean". Dean was brought to the ironworks from the Caledonian Railway in 1909, back when the NWR/North Western Railway was being built. Dean was a real kind engine who loved his job by melting metal to turn into something else. Whenever he's not at the ironworks, he helps out on the railway by doing odd jobs, like helping out with the shunting, or taking goods or freight trains to other places on the island. However, nothing good can last forever. One day, the owner of the ironworks came to see Dean with bad news. He told Dean that business around here was slow & down, & because of this, the owner have no other choice, but to shut the ironworks down. Hearing this made Dean very upset, he asked his owner what will happen to him. The owner said he wasn't sure what to do for him, but told him that he'd just wait & see. One night, Dean's last job of working at the ironworks was to take a train of scrap to Crocks Scrapyard. Dean collected the train of scrap from Wellsworth, & set off. 30 minutes later, he arrived at Crocks Scrapyard, he was then uncoupled from the train, & headed back to the ironworks. As he was making his way back, he suddenly felt he was going fast. He asked his crew what was going on, they said his brakes failed, & there was no way to stop him. He gasped in horror, begging to be stop before he reach the ironworks, but it was no use. As Dean reached to the ironworks & just before he went inside the building of it, he told his to jump clear before what would happen, which they did what he told. There was nothing that Dean can do now, all he can do now is to accept his fate. He then fell into a pit of lava below. Dean: : "AAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!" A loud, horrific scream, was the last sound Dean made, as he was melted down in the lava. When his owner heard about it from Dean's crew the next day, he was in the state of shocked, & was feeling upset about Dean's death last night. Dean's crew showed the owner what was left of Dean as it was an old steam whistle. With no furthermore, the owner decided to leave Dean's whistle at the ironworks, & then shut down the ironworks, & left it be to Dean's soul to rest for many years. Even after the ironworks was reopened, & Arry & Bert was brought, Edward, & some others could say that every year on the night of Dean's death, his spirit returns to repeats his fate over & over again, but his spirit can be looking for his lost whistle.

The Untold Tale of Elliott Year: 1912 Long ago, before Thomas existed & was #1, there was an engine that used to be NWR's #1, this engine was same class as Edward, except his was painted in a slight darker shade of blue with dark yellow lining, with #1 on his sides. His name was Elliott, who is Edward little brother, & Elliott wasn't the same personality as Edward, he was snobby, careless, & a very rude engine at that. He never show coaches & trucks any respect or care, he never really like shunting in the yards, & what's worse, was his attitude & behavior towards the others, he would argue with the other engines, he would called others bad names, & he would boss smaller engines around, as he thought of himself if he is #1, he would be first & never be last. Both the controller & Edward tried to tell him to stop & change, but he wouldn't listen, & just do the same thing again. But one night, he was told to take a midnight passenger train from the harbor to Crosby. When everything was set, he blew his whistle, & set off. The journey went well, perhaps too well, as they reached Crosby, it happened. Neither the driver or fireman could shut off steam and apply the brakes, instead Elliott was speeding up. He raced by Crosby as he gain up speed to the mainline. His crew fiddle with his controls, but it wouldn't worked, and the guard tried applying the brakes from the coaches, but they didn't work either. The driver then looked out from Elliott's cab window, & realized what Elliott was about to do. Down the line Elliott was on, there was a set of points, one way continued on to the mainline while the other led to a siding where a train of fuel tankers was sitting on, & the point were set to the siding. His driver called out to Elliott. Elliott's Driver: "Elliott! No! You'll kill us all!" Elliott didn't say anything, but did say in a rather cold, mad tone whisper voice. Elliott: "& that's exactly what I wanted to do." Elliott then charged into the tankers with his eyes closed, & went off the rails with a huge... (BOOOOM!!!) The next morning, Edward arrived with the breakdown crane, along with the controller. Whenever they saw the site, they were in shock. Edward couldn't believe that his brother would do such a thing like this, neither did the controller. The controller then ordered to clean this mess up, & asked Edward to take Elliott's remains to Killdane Ironworks, to which Edward understood & agreed. When it was finished, Edward then took Elliott's remains to be cut up at Killdane Ironworks. Edward never really like talking about his brother to his friends or anyone, only a few engines know about this; Lily knew about this because she was on the railway at the time, too. Eagle was Elliott's replacement, & he knew the story, but he kept it as secret to never tell this to anyone. Whiff also knew this because Elliott used to boss him around & Elliott used to call him four-eyes. Albert knew Elliott as he, Edward, & Elliot used to work on the Furness Railway before coming to Sodor. & Thomas knew about this because Edward told him the story of Elliott, much to Thomas' surprise, but Thomas has swore to keep Elliott's story a secret from others as well, like Edward & Eagle. Sometimes every night, Edward could feel that Elliott's spirit could still be around, haunting the rails, & could be watching him as he sleeps, thinking that he want to take his life away from Sodor & his friends, I hope Elliott doesn't, don't you?
