This is amazing. To point out WHY and how anyone, literally anyone can fall into this bandwagon because of several reason unrelated to others was amazing.

This is like just another dimension you people showed. Drugs addicts are legit an object of mockery in daily life. But this was so "to the point".

didn't appreciate the brownwashing with a fair-skinned actress but seeing an addict not die tragically for the sake of the plot was quite refreshing, especially in such a depressing movie

@@senseimiura5024 Yes. Obviously. Regardless of how good Alia was, brown dark skinned actresses don't get a part easily. It's unexplainbly cruel to cast a fair skinned brutally stealing their only chance. The drug cartel was the plot they needed to spread awareness on. So, how can that be offensive? You watch a murder mystery then say Oh, the murder was offensive?

I agree people always judge the victim of addiction instead of trying to help them If i find someone i would try everything in my power to help them I was suicidal and wanted to do drugs to die as soon as i can but i didn't because i was scared lol But now I'm fine

The first thing in any water rescue mission training is that if the victim is in distress. Throwing arms and legs around, u can NOT approach them. They must calm down so that u can approach them. Otherwise u will get knocked out, and u both drown. Guaranteed. Similarly, never jump in to help someone in distress if there’s even a remote possibility of u getting hurt in the process. Only approach if u r strong/capable/informed. Otherwise u r both doomed. It’s a sweet notion to help someone. But the question is do the stars align??

It is true that when someone comes from a conservative family and suddenly goes to a big city, then he comes to know about a lot of new things like drugs and alcohol, we just need to be aware of what to do Sometimes a person comes under peer pressure of doing drungs and starts doing such things so that people do not separate them from their circle, there are many other things which attract people towards drugs like doing drugs to look cool. But it's not that bad but doing in limitation in okay.

@@JkbeingJk Ever asked an addict why they use drug? They are the victim, most of the time they suffer inside and have full of life problems. The supplier is like a predator, they will manipulate you to take it and that's it their business is successful. Drugs gives Dopamine for few minutes, the long lost happiness when comes back they don't want to miss it, afterall everyone has right to be happy but before they can understand what's going on it's already too late. Criminals are the supplier they manipulate the users to enjoy them.

This trope is so annoying to me because in south India flims men & women addicts are treated so different. E.g In Pavada the main character doesn't overcome his addiction & the plot takes a 360 in the second, third act.

@@dishasaini3981 I’m not complaining about the video dimdim. It’s a pattern of nothing but marketing movies and one sided ideas without critical analysis. They’re super short and rely on dimwits to accept with without considering history, geopolitics, or anthropology. There r also outright lies in many of their videos. They’re incomplete most of the time. They’re disrespectful and curt. This is against journalistic ethos. And that’s a shame.

@@RojaJaneman But as far as I've seen, I haven't found any of that. How many movies are there today who highlight realities of addiction and doesn't just show it in a negative light as villain. Now, you can't talk about a movie without even mentioning the name. That's not advertising.
