Woj is probably bored of this kind of work. Guy had been reduced to a glorified tweeter and info merchant. Perhaps not very gratifying at the end of the day when the highlight of your work culminates with a "Woj Bomb." I can't imagine his new gig pays nearly as well and it definitely comes with no sort of celebrity attached. Sounds like he's returning to a community, work, and a day to day life he can love. Good for him. Leave the tweeting to kids like Shams. And while I know Woj is a sports journalist I can see how he may have felt...after years in the game...his role had become reduced. Big name, little purpose. He's 55...moving on. Will he return one day? I kind of doubt it. Not in the same way. This would seem the kind of door that once shut, it stays shut. Especially at his age. All things considered, though...good for him. He is "retired?" Whatever. Sounds to me like he quit. Probably from tedious boredom and the vapidity of what his main um...job...had become. More power to him.
