She also known as the "Iron Lady of Manipuris an Indian civil rights activist, political activist, and poet from the Indian state of Manipur, which is located on the north-eastern side of India. She has been called "the world's longest hunger striker". On International Women's Day, 2014 she was voted the top woman icon of India by MSN Poll.

What is Sharmila talking about?. When a few meetei medical staffs were gangraped by the kukis in churchanpur district the meeteis avenged by parading naked of two kuki women by a few thugs which was widely protested by the meetei community. It was only parading and there was not any incident of gangraped which was clarified by the victims themselves. The kuki spread false propaganda to portray the meete as communal which is totally incorrect . Even before the incident of May 3rd 2023, many paid foreign journalist were in Ccpur to cover the violence. With the fund that are raised from drugs the kukis have enough finances to go meet every expense ....

Nobody cares about my opinion but if I drafted speeches for Sharmila my wife the difference between a standard X manipuri school education and a graduate of Gandhi-ji's Alma Mater UCL would be self-evident.
