While watching the video there were a couple of times where I would have stopped. You kept going and ended up with so much more depth in the painting. I love your results. Thank you for sharing this. ❤

I’m so glad you were aware of that! There were several times that I also wanted to stop-I’ve realized that is a regular impulse, and I’ve also realized that rarely does that impulse come from a true knowing that the painting is complete. That urge is almost always about being uncomfortable pushing a little further.

I went through the same emotions, but the end result was so much better.

I’m always reaching for it because I find it difficult most of the time 😆. Thanks for your sweet words.

When you have accumulated a vast quantity of supplies they can be part of the blockage, not knowing what colour or medium to choose, wanting to use all of them!. Limited pallette is a great way to kick start your art process and I had forgotten about this, so thankyou for nudging me out of my creative lull 😊

I know, it really is a great way to break through that. I always forget it and rediscover it all over again. 😆

I am thrilled to hear that! And I’m with you-I’ll wander away from landscapes and then suddenly go back to them and I always love that return where it all feels thrilling and new again.

I love using the silicone shaper. It really helps build layers. I'm going through a bit of a creative block, also. I've been exploring abstract landscapes. I find myself afraid to start. And, then people don't always like what I do. But, if I feel happy. That's all that matters, really.

Starting is always the hardest part, I think. And I always find it helpful to remember that no painter, no matter who they are or how good they are, will have every person love their work. In the end, what the artist thinks/feels about it is all that matters.
