I mean like you said we all make mistakes, but Carthage brutally wasted his elephants. Not only did he go up the route that had four bloody rows of stakes instead of the other one which was completely clear. But he then wastes an entire unit by executing them once they had run amok. I feel bad for the dude because he probably felt so bloody mad.

@@momod5575 Well this isn't realistic this is Rome 2 so if you're gonna play you've got to be more careful, since cavalry units are decimated by stakes. Also are you sure they all died by arrows? The reason I said he must of executed them is because they all died at once as they were running amok. I don't know about you, but most games I've played when elephants are involved don't die that quickly from an arrow volley. Usually when elephants run amok players tend to kill them as they can be a bigger problem for themselves rather than the enemy. So I am not "putting that on him", I am merely stating what I saw.

I didnt play the best but It was great nonetheless edit: Our opponents happened to also be in your discord, so we both posted the replay at the same time lol (you also didnt see my cav charge on carthage's archers :c) edit 2: In the beginning, the reason i charged those tribesmen is because I wanted the attackers to think that was the entire sally :)

In this battle, the Suebi passive aggressively refuse to help the Seleucids after a disagreement over footwear, Carthage tries to discover every way elephants can die, Colchis exploits the attackers' lack of object permanence to make their archers disappear from their minds (and their minimaps), and Pixie still doesn't know how to pronounce "Numidian".

18:30-37 good to point out that Suebi should have pushed in, but you missed how much of a push he could've done. Colchis could have been surrounded entirely there as well as Sparta being surrounded. at most he'd have lost some men to archer fire in movement.

I realised the main reason Rome 2 is still so fun to play and has a good player base is the unit and faction diversity . Each faction has their own units and therefore their own tactics , you don’t have that in three kingdoms or even shogun 2 (shogun 2 was still fun tho but the player base died quick )

This was probably one of the most frustrating sieges I've ever watched.

It's rare to see a skillfully executed siege attack on Apollo's channel. Always tons of mistakes: no flanking, blobbing units, bad micro, tunnel vision, failure to attack multiple choke points, players leaving vast amounts of troops in reserve when needed at the front. I think out of the dozens I've watched, maybe 3 stood out, and one of those involved Apollo as a player using an army consisting entirely of levy club which he proceeded to use to crush the attackers.
