I applied for SSDI ON my own and I went to so many different Doctors I lost count after being denied for years. I decided to let a lawyer trying and I got approved 4 months later.They without my knowledge, started my case all over from the beginning and I was beat out of 5 year's of my back pay. The lawyer was appointed by The Social security office.. 900.00 a month for 5 year's they stole frome me...

Well I got my disability 2021 and I was told they went by past 5 years of work and how much I made and that’s what they based my payments on . So they did this over 3 years ago how is this new ? I mean they did ask for like 15 years of history but went by only the past 5 years . Not new

I am grateful that I just switched over to SSA. It was a pain to get on SSDI. It took me was 2 1/2 years. I paid a lawyer or it would take forever. I wish J could work again, my body will not handle it,. Grateful for SSDI or I would have died. I had over 35 years of employment. Medicare helped a lot too.

It’s just conversations that they been having! A conversation doesn’t make a bill, therefore, no bill, therefore no bill will be signed into law by Biden! Even, when, it were to happen and, signed into law it would not go into effect right away! The thing is once it were to be signed into law it would then, be at the discretion of the SSA because, they are a separate government entity! They have to update their system and, it wouldn’t be at the end of the year going into a new one and, as always we would get a letter in the mail first! 26:43 It wouldn’t be a state to state thing, use some common sense here folks, it would be a federal law and,that means everyone would be included! 29:29

What’s a serious struggle is that with food prices, gas, car insurance etc all these needs have increased crazily I can’t keep up! Our cola raise, I’m thankful but these prices are definitely more than this! I even qualify with $113 by monthly, and that amounts to almost zero. It’s very frustrating. So I went back to college to try and improve my life circumstances.

So I really am still not understanding what this means. I just got approved for social security 3 months ago I applied July of 2023 different lawyers for 7 years before that. And kept getting denied this time. I got approved. And I don't know how but nothing has changed between when I first applied and got denied to right now. My condition has been constant. But because of having to restart my case trying to reach the appellate level, I lost all those years of back pay. Am I understanding this right? Can I claim all those years of back pay now? And if so, how can I do it, please? Somebody help because I really don't understand the terms. These people are using and what it really means.

Took me over 3 years to get it. My brother is in his 2nd year of waiting with zero income. This process makes people damn near suicidal. Knowing you can't go earn an income but the government doesn't give 2 hoots. Specially when you're the type that has always worked and paid your own bills etc. It's horrible.
