"it was not our personal freedoms that added up to this crisis, but our lack of freedom from the economic and political syatems that have appropriated our original wealth, and manipulated our hearts and minds."

This talk is making me more anxious than before. Must be my denial being challenged. ( I have been told that I could teach denial.)

“The big challenge of our time is to make sure that when our hearts break [amidst climate catastrophe] we stay open and connected and curious rather than coming up with stories to justify ourselves being violent to others that we have othered more than those closest to us.” ― Jem Bendell

In fact being well adjusted to current American society is a sign of deep pathology.

Yep. Heard this quote -- and the talk it came from and similar ones from JK -- many times. One of the reasons i've been working 3+ decades on creating a new domain, science, philosophy, and art toreimagine & redesign reality & positively shift paradigms. With people like Nate & his network and others like it, we can, and will, cocreate a better world.

You can reforest the planet as much as you want but the forests will burn down faster than you can plant them. It's too late for that. Today, in addition to the deliberate fires in South America and East Asia, unimaginable areas in North America and Siberia are going up in flames that cannot be extinguished because there are simply no firefighters to put them out. Because the soils are so dry and also little rain falls they can spread undisturbed.

@@freetibet1000 No. I'm simply waiting for the EVIDENCE of alleged catastrophe that is alleged has already happened. Until that is produced, how can anyone believe the even worse forecasts ?
