Vinita hasn't been in the red for years. People in Vinita have been there for longer than 13 years and not a single tornado. No tornado for Vinita. Safe place :) It's just strong storms no tornado. So come to Vinita because tornadoes are rare there.

Yes, Baxter Springs, Kansas is in the severe weather area. This will also be over to Joplin Missouri area. Please have a plan in place for you and your family. Matter of fact you may want to sleep in your place of safety. If you don't have a place, stay in the bathroom with everyone including your pets. Thank you!! Many of you can remember the F-5 that Joplin Missouri had. There's a potential for these types of storms today and into the overnight.
