Regardless of politics he was a honorable man. How does a man dying of Glioblastoma 'kill' insurance for millions of Americans. Trump said before he'd do that 'within 2 weeks' of taking office. He would offer a better and cheaper alternative but didn't. I just don't understand why people vote against their own self-interest? How can you push pro-life stance back to fertilization but not care about millions getting sick and dying long after their mother chose life. I have excellent insurance and the VA, why wouldn't I want every American to have it. It's a basic human need everyone must have, in a country with a $29 Trillion GDP. It's no different then giving the rich tax breaks, why would 90% care about the rich that wouldn't give them a penny to save their lives. I know a pretty rich guy worth about $10 million net liquidity and he let his daughter and 3 young kids have their house foreclosed on over a $200,000 mortgage. I guess he figured it won't end there but did nothing. That $200,000 is chump change but he did nothing. I've seen well to do families not help a loved one struggling by offering actually doing nothing and they know it means homelessness or unneeded mental grief. I'm pretty old and I just don't get it. On top of it many are religious people. I guess, I'll never figure out true human nature.

Harris was already on the ticket (with Biden) as part of the presidential incumbency; so naturally when Biden stepped aside, she was elevated to the lead position just as she would have if Biden resigned the Presidency during his elected term in office! Also, by the time Biden stepped aside, had the Democratic party attempted a full-on primary election (with voters in every state going to the polls to choose another candidate) at that point of time, that would have been a total elimination of a Democratic party candidate from the 2024 ballots! And... the State delegates who meet at the National Conventions (both major political parties) are actually the people who choose the person who will represent the party.
