Lately I get a trip radar that I ignore. Then it comes through regular immediately. Then it comes again every couple minutes. I saw one five times yesterday over about 10-15 minutes.

Seems trip radar has been a big let down. I’ve accepted one ever if I remember correctly.

Both Uber Eats & Door Dash.. I decline, they send to me again, I decline again & they send to me hidden added with a second order to get me to take it.

You made some good points there Mike. I think the bot thing happens with Uber eats orders from Walmart as well. Sometimes I'll reserve a pre-scheduled order but it'll drop off as soon as I go online. They say it's better to go online at least 30 minutes prior I believe to make sure it goes through. Also I know what you mean about certain orders pulling you in way different directions.

The base pay will just be lowered by the percentage. It is the way all bounu,s seem work. I take the same people to work same time of day and when there is a bonus the pay does not increase. I just discovered the 210 pay for electrical vehicles is from the customer. They charge the rider 1 dollar more so if you dont make the 200 rides you lose they gain

we can’t do multiapping in Toronto, Ontario Canada because our insurance companies will not allow it. And if you drive without the proper insurance when you get into an accident even if not your fault, you lose income and you can’t claim the income unless you wanna be disqualified if they find out you were ubering with food i mean or doing anything without informing them and if you inform them, there’s only like two insurance companies that will cover you and neither of them will do mapping. You can only do one and it’s Uber, they don’t even like to cover DoorDash or anything else so we’re screwed in Canada and I told my insurance company I’ll call when it’s renewal time because I paying a lot more insurance and I can only do company when it’s the same and DoorDash does offer some sort of insurance coverage as long as we have insurance That covers the other part which is I think for DoorDash and Uber it’s just a small amount but I think all the gig work where you’re driving, they all have insurance that they offer the drivers but your insurance company has to also cover majority of it. It makes no sense, it’s horrible

The thing that bothers me is the hackers that show up to do spark when you are trying to just get on the list. When mid summer I saw a surge in drivers and found out they are hackers. Now they are slowly disappearing.

As long as I've done Doordash, the maps would be red & had tons of runs most any time of day. As of the first of the year, if it wasn't 8pm or later, the map would be dead. This forced me to start scheduling & the schedule showed there was nothing available for a couple of days or the only time available is at night which I don't drive cuz I can't see well at night. Don't get me started on trying to find apartments at night.😒 Over last month scheduling has gotten better. Don't know if drivers are getting fed up & quitting or what. I do miss being able to open the app anytime & it be red for me so I didn't have to schedule.😢

32:28 thats gross pay. a regular W-2 job doesnt allow you to write off your food, fuel, phone, computer, etc. doing gig work basically allows you to write off your day to day living expenses. a dollar earned being a business owner is worth nearly DOUBLE a dollar earned as a W-2 employee if Forbes doesnt break that down in the article then THEY need the financial literacy education

The extra 20% is gonna go right back at the gas and car maintenance. On Uber you could take four trips and have 100 miles on your car. 😂😂😂

They are definitely paying the drivers way worse. I don't see how they expect to keep drivers when they are paying themselves more and their shareholders. While the drivers are getting wiser, talking more, and getting paid less. I feel like it's a bubble that is about to burst. Also, the 20% extra isn't good if you have to take 5 "free" rides to get 2 extra dollars. Who do they think they are fooling? It's just new math to mess with drivers.

Even if this comes to Uber eats, i don't think it will be worth it with all the free runs they want you to do. Order have been so few and so bad. I've been getting $5 for 10 miles, and that's not including the 10 miles back to the restaurant area. It seems the longer you work or the higher level you are, the worse orders they give you. They hook you at the beginning with some ok rides, and then it just drops off.

I still think there's an issue with this. 20% bonus you got to stop and think they still take their 50% 60% or whatever you're still only going to make like on your example $5 run you said $6 know you're only going to make 550 minus the percentage that they take so 20% bonus is really only at 10% bonus because of what they deduct it's just another way for them to try to get someone to take more runs

The gross pay is one thing, the hourly gross pay is something I feel a lot of drivers watch closely. Once it gets too low they’re going to stop working in that platform

So 20% of nothing still comes to chump change since most Uber offers don't pay enough to cover the gas or if your'e lucky you get to keep a dollar or two from each trip. Still leaves you just above broke. We turned down at least 20+ chump orders last ride. ($3.$4, $5 and even more where miles were so high we would have been delivering for free. Just more of Uber Gaslighting drivers.
