Having just started doing Uber Eats these last few weeks, the one thing I'd love to see on the map is the amount of couriers per area. It wouldn't have to be an exact number but basically just showing a population of drivers in a near by area "Low/Medium/High" for example. So if you see an area is "High" then you can know that those deliveries will get snapped up quick. If an area has a lot of restaurants and a "Low" driver population then you know you can wait there for an order to come in relatively quickly. It wouldn't so much change how drivers use their current areas, but it would really help newer drivers FIND good areas.

Average tip is around 20%

We only have Gold, Platinum and Diamond. You don’t have to have a high acceptance rate for any of those

We think for 2025, you should make DD, GH and UE videos with the understanding that one is not able to control the orders they receive. Much of the time the things you say give the false impression drivers control orders in some way.

I’m at Platinum level and my acceptance rate is 15. My cancellation rate is 4%. My satisfaction rate is 100% and my On time rate is 73%

Do you ever feel like in cities, drivers have animosity towards other dashers? Or it’s frown upon

Things are different in California. After prop 22 we are guaranteed minimum wage plus tips. So taking some low ball offers do end up paying at the end of the week

Mike in my market UE dropped me from Platinum to some new rating Uber Pro Blue. I need 75% AR and 400 points in 3 months to get back to Platinum and they reduced the points they give out.

I have made 40 bucks per week with Uber two weeks in a row during the busyest time of year, right now. BANKRUPTCY. Any time Uber is on its nothing but 3 dollars for everything.

Uber Eats is bankrupt and they dont care, working for prop 22 is mabey 20 bucks per hour but you spend 5 bucks per hour on gas so your making less than local minimum wage and nobody is trashing a car for 15 dollars per hour in california

We have no choice but to take a picture unless it's a hand it to me ... and I got a pop up about being at a drop off location for 16 minutes before completing a delivery...absolutely not! One hand it to me i had to call a few times text and go thru the timer thing on the app for doordash to let me leave in a safe location and take a picture... that's not me that's the app ...

I cannot stand shop and deliver. I just moved out here to Oil city from the ALLENTOWN area. I’ve been coming up to Pittsburgh. I couldn’t tell you how many weeks in a row amazing the amount of money I could make in Pittsburgh compared to where I was living before plus Erie PA, but I am not allowed to opt out of shop and deliver at this time because it’s needed in the area that I live🤦🏽‍♀️ Sometimes I wonder why they haven’t crated dasher rides yet . Doesn’t matter there’s uber & lyft … maybe i shouldn’t open my mouth 🤣🤣🤣🎱

This just hit my market within the last 2 weeks. Something that I think needs to be taken into account special events for the area and/or holidays. I've only done 13 orders since this hit my market, but 3 of those got flagged as late (yes they are excluded, but that's 23% of my orders thus far). All 3 Lates were during an Incentive Pay promo, when either traffic or restaurants were extremely busy due to a hometown college football playoff game or the fact it was Christmas Eve. It would have been 5 Lates had I not unassigned 2 of them. I think it would make more sense to exclude all Late Deliveries (beyond the 10) anytime Incentive Pay is being offered.

Door dash does NOT care about its drivers (never mind customers). Because they obviously make tons at the top due to high driver turnover rate, all the ratings are pointless. If you get several CVs even beyond your control that are unfair, they don’t care: you are replaceable.

Pittsburg is a rough place to DD. For reasons you might not expect. The hills and constant turns will ware out your car more than if you were in a flat Midwest area. You think they’d pay more for the uniquely rough area.

I don’t believe nether ratings pass or present will matter nor make a difference.. DD only cares about delivered on time results. Not truly independent contractors safety! Also the restaurants move so slowly 87% of times, orders ready for pick at pickup in order to be delivered on time! DD don’t actually consider peak times are in between work shifts, schools letting out! Rush hour jams!!!! Nor do DD consider weather, there’s to complete a 10- 12 - 14min order in rain or snow nor accidents!!!!

Dasher preferences are offered to me but there are a cpl that I turned on and it won’t let me turn them off, I’m guessing cause not a lot of dashers have them turned on in my area lol

The craziest orders that I’ve gotten on DoorDash as I have had individual orders or even add on orders for a dollar before and one time I got an offer for $.50, another thing that pisses me off about DoorDash is that with batched orders they’re not giving you the base pay for both, I think I’ve gotten bad orders where my base pay was less than two dollars for both. The other thing I really don’t like about DoorDash is hiding tips, I had a double order someone decided to give me a $20 tip on $10 of food, they hid the amount and made it seem like a regular order, then as I’m driving away I realize the person tipped me $20, if the customer is trying to pay so much money for the quickest possible service and you’re hiding their tip it is keeping them from getting service that they are trying to pay for, I had to wait 12 mins at the Taco Bell, not the worst. I almost dropped the order and I probably would’ve gone more out of my way to be quicker and maybe reached out to the customer and messaged thank you since they tipped me so much but I didn’t because they hid it, this is just another way that they screw over the drivers and the customers. People who are trying to pay for a quick quality service aren’t getting it because DoorDash doesn’t tell people what they’re getting paid and I don’t think they should be able to hide tips when getting people to tip in the first place sometimes is so hard to do, and they’re not even rewarding. The people that are tipping well, I know nobody cares about delivery drivers, but there should be more laws put into place at least for the consumer. I really think if there is more awareness about how much DoorDash actually screws over their own consumers there might be some change.

I started driving for Xmas for a month, I have Uber and dd, the reason I didn’t get back to platinum was because I didn’t have 100 deliveries in 30 days. But what I’ve realized is, this is actually worth it to just sit around and do nothing and be able to cherry pick Uber orders, I make way more money and don’t have to sweat accepting bad ones. When I was a platinum dasher during the slow season there were times I could make sometimes $50 an hour, but a lot of the times I would only average $25-$30 an hour and sometimes even lower. I just don’t think it’s worth keeping your stats up just so you can dash whenever you want to make $20-$25 an hour . I used to mostly dd and now I’ve only been doing Uber.
