To have a conservative judge is not a problem. To have a judge that was appointed by a man accused of espionage in the area where he would be tried who is an open supporter of said corrupt man - unacceptable. It's hard to imagine a stronger case for forced recusal simply due to the massive APPEARANCE of a massive conflict. Not to mention that this judge has already been called out by her peers for trying to protect Trump in an obvious, ridiculous fashion.

I don't understand why the whole immunity thing matters in this case. He's indicted for keeping the documents after being told to return them, and hiding them so the wouldn't be found. None of that was done while he was president, so none of it can be an official act.

Brian and Glen, you talked about the possibility of trials going on for 5 to 10 years, if not more. How would these court cases handle the crimes and the related charges if he should pass away? I ask, because these crimes are so damaging to the country and constitution, that there needs to be a final verdict about the crimes and the evidence needs to be fully and clearly put on the record for all to view. If all these charges goes away with his death, then many of the wounds that have been inflicted upon our judicial system, constitution, etc... will never be healed in the near future.

Disbarment has zero legal effect effect on federal judges. Federal judges serve lifetime appointments and can only be removed via the impeachment process.

WAITING for justice to be served? That is not how justice is served these days, HELLO! Actually, never was. People like Jack Smith actually have to do their jobs. And do them to perfection. Yes, sometimes you cannot defeat a crooked judge or a court, especially SCOTUS. But Smith has proven to not be up to the job. He has not been a factor in thgis case at all since the very beginning. Don't know if he is also on the take, just like Cannon or what. But something is going on, where we are possibly on the verge of a dismissal, and he has not even demanded (or asked, lol) that Cannon be removed. Yes, if it is fixed so deep, he will be turned down. But if it can reach the ears of just a single person that is not involved in thie corruption, MAYBE we may still have a chance. But if Smith doesn't even try, we are doomed regardless. When he was first given these cases, I thought he seemed like THE MAN. But his efforts have so far, obviously been feeble and ineffective. I'm not going to pretend like I know enough law to say that he could so then should be replaced, this late in the game, but he needs a fire lit under his ass somehow, or this whole case is going to be tossed, and Cannon will be our next Clarence Thomas, guaranteed.
