Breaking up in the age of social media is a nightmare, deleting the app is the only way I know that has been actually helpful, if I block or mute I just actively seek them out.
The number of synchronicities of this poem with the person it was about (Hi Chantal!) are really spectacular, including her texting me an old photo of us together out of the blue on the day we were shooting the photos for the recreation in this poem.
Also if you're reading this, a friendly reminder that Love is oh so worth the heartbreak.

Very cool! I'm wondering where you developed this. Did you show your poems to friends or go to poetry slams? My creative breeding grounds for spoken word are stand up open mics and my mom listening to me tell stories, so I'd be very curious if you had a sec to share your methods for creation.
