As an international Leeds fan that also supports Wrexham because of Ryan Reynolds...he's shit and way past his prime. Look, we're 100% trying to sell him as he's our highest paid player yet has started 2 games for us, but he's terrible and I don't want to see Wrexham taking him off us (Its financial suicide). Hoping another club takes him off our wage bill... EDIT: I don't hate Bamford as a person, he's got a podcast and overall seems like a great lad and has done well for us in the past but football is a business and unfortunately he's just way past his prime for us.

Taking Bamford on loan is definitely the way to go. As a permanent transfer he doesn't fit the type of striker Wrexham seems to be looking at - early twenties, Championship level striker with strong potential to develop into a quality Premier League player.

I’d really like to see them get younger up front. I know it’s probably the result of the “win now” era they’re in, but they’ve already got a room full of over 30 strikers who can struggle with injuries. I’d way rather see them target guys from premier league u21 squads if they’re gonna be throwing down multiple millions on transfers

If it was up to me, you could take Paddy off our hands on a free transfer, as long as you pay his wages. Don't get me wrong he's still a very good player, and a very likable chap - He's popular. The problem with him is that, it's VERY WEIRD, he keeps missing absolute sitters (important ones at that), and he actually LIKES to be in offside positions (it seems). It's got so bad that majority of our fans just don't want him anymore. He should get a ton of goals for Wrexham (seriously) if he's fit obviously. But yeah, he definitely needs a fresh start away from Leeds. Those are my honest thoughts on Patrick Bamford.

I don't think Aston Villa has any intention to sell Louie Barry, certainly not unless they're offered some ridiculous price for him. But the rumour is they're looking to loan him to a Championship team to gain better experience. Personally I don't think Aston Villa will look at Wrexham as an upgrade over Stockton. A shame because I think he'd be a great addition but doubt he'll still be available at the end of the season.

Bamford is like marmite to our fan base, he can be injury prone and very streaky with goals, however he’s great at holding the ball up and pulling defenders out of position to create space. I think he could smash it once match fit in league 1. Pretty sure the talk has been for a loan move rather than to buy
