I would love ‘super Sam Dalby’ to come back and bring his good form S from Dundee with him. Both Mulls’ and Sam worked very well together (as Palmer found his niche at the Club), and we need good form through and post Christmas period untill the end of season. Has Phil (the Boss), been to watch him or have our scouts been N of the border? The GK area is a worry and Fearless in Devotion (FiD ), did cover the Hull City keeper you referred to also. Tough times-we need goals right now it is a tough period where our luck is running thin.

Like every other team in L1 not Blues, a solid 9. It’s going to cost us since so many teams will be casing one down. We have one but there’s an issue with him and pp. once that’s sorted mulls is our January transfer

Dalby won’t be going anywhere. We sent him to Dundee to prep him to play in the championship. He’s an OP clone with better ability at his feet. Positioning has been his big problem. I don’t see him leaving. Parky does not send players out on loan to get rid of them and off the books. He sends them off to develop a skill set and a talent that we desperately will need down the road. He wasn’t quite ready for League one, from what pp saw during preseason, which is why we went with Palmer. Now seeing this, he’s going to push the club to give him a two or three year deal. The co nine is his to lose next summer. Letting him go on a Free makes no sense because we have to replace him. Mo faal is nowhere near ready to take on that roll. That’s my opinion.

We need 2 new strikers. Marriott is going to be out for a while, which leaves us with Mullin (out of form and lacking confidence), Faal (totally unproven), Bodvarsson (hmmmm), Fletch (pure class, but can't manage a full 90 mins now) and Palmer, who's got the touch of a nervous 16 year old virgin. Lee hasn't really proven himself up front either, and there seems to be no combination of players that are working well in league 1. We need a striker that's got both speed and strength. There's so much quality in the team behind the front line and breaks happen so quickly, but right now there's nobody to take advantage. We've relied too much on goals from midfield and defence. Fix this, and we're a force of nature.

Ryan Reynolds should look homeward and consider signing one of the Canadian National Team keepers. Both are very good. They each are contracted to MLS clubs. League One is usually a step up from MLS, but the Championship is. Maxim Crépeau was the star of the Copa America and needs an entrée into Europe. A loan could work, since MLS doesn't get started until the end of March.

Brad Foster looked tasty against Crewe, could be our first choice looking ahead! I also watched West Brom v Coventry this week. Alex Palmer is a class keeper, if he's had influence on Foster, it can only be a good thing for us.

As well as Ethan Wheatley, there are rumours of bringing in Jayden Danns from Liverpool, a player highly rated by Roy Keane, imagine having those two guys in the squad but not actually taking a spot on the squad list, even more depth and scoring possibilities, maybe even may push Mo Faal into scoring. Who knows.

I would give Daulby a chance, I would play in front of Palmer 💯. He is ripping it up in the Scottish prem. Yes, it's not the standards of the English prem, but it's on a level of League one. I think the load is what was needed to give him confidence and show what he is capable of. Bring him back, i say!!!

Yes, if he's getting advice before XMas rather than getting on the grass before XMas, it could conceivably be February. It seems that Tim is coming back from injury this month, which is why he is not already out on loan.

I’m not super knowledgeable about British soccer, but are goalkeepers injured a lot? Is this normal with Arthur or might he be a bit injury prone?

I’m a Canadian who has been following UK football for about twenty years now. I don’t presume to be an expert, but keepers get injured too. Probably as often as other players is my gut feeling. The first two years that I started following Wrexham they had a few goalkeepers go down then for extended periods of time.

@ I know they get injured but Arthur’s been hurt both seasons as a starter. I remember their original guy had multiple injuries too but the others seem to have been ok.

Parky had Brad Foster training with the club before callum went down because there already weren’t enough keepers to run training. I think they need 4 just to do proper training. think back to the first season of the doc when it was Rob Lainton in goal- they had an episode focussed on their sessions and they had 4-5 keepers plus the coach.

@@seanwilde3059 Eric Ten Hag. The jump from Eredivisie (Netherlands) to the EPL was ROUGH. His tactics could have worked, but his substitutions!!!! wow. just wow. Ultimately, like every manager since SAF retired (Sir Alex Ferguson) the dressing room just switched off and helped him get sacked.

Brad Foster appears legit. No need to find a backup. Arthur will be back by January. Chomp is a perfect 2. Brad is a good 3. Striker needs to be a proven scorer. Much like Marriott. Issue is is that they all take time to acclimate to pp style of play. We need a smaller, agile 9 that can play off Palmer. A youth star is a huge risk. Putting our promotion chances on the back of an unproven 18 year old? No way he’d sniff the pitch. Mullin is in pp doghouse for the welshpool silliness. As soon as he climbs out, he will be a regular. Palmer sat the same doghouse last season. Trust me on this. Only thing that makes sense. Why he didn’t congratulate the young lad for the goal off his assist. He’s in a dark place. Pp needs to get him back in the mix or sell him on. There’s a rift there no doubt.

they need to have a few keepers in hand just for training. Brad was training without a contract just to make up numbers and was signed as an emergency backup to the third choice chomp. With Callum out they need another even if Arthur is back soon.

Lol! The field is huge and just cause mulls isn’t in camera doesn’t mean he wasn’t happy for the young kid. I have no doubt mulls was over the moon that his perfect assisting cross was headed directed into the back of the goal. That was another winning goal contribution into the books for mulls. Relax mate
