Is anybody there? Take this life Empty inside I'm already dead I'll rise to fall again I can feel you falling away No longer the lost No longer the same And I can see you starting to break I'll keep you alive If you show me the way Forever - and ever The scars will remain I'm falling apart Leave me here forever in the dark God help me I've come undone Out of the light of the sun God help me I've come undone Out of the light of the sun I can feel you falling away No longer the lost No longer the same And I can see you starting to break I'll keep you alive If you show me the way Forever and ever The scars will remain Give me a sign There's something buried in the words Give me a sign Your tears are adding to the flood Just give me a sign There's something buried in the words Give me a sign Your tears are adding to the flood Just give me a sign There's something buried in the words Give me a sign Your tears are adding to the flood Forever and ever The scars will remain

I'm really late commenting on this, but I remember listening to this song when it first released and when I listened to the song I just thought it was just a generic sad song...until I lost my dad. I remember one night about 4 years ago, I was just browsing through music on youtube and stumbled upon this particular song that I hadn't listened to in years and it brought up those memories of losing my dad and the pain and emptiness it had left. I normally do not cry on songs, but as I sat and listened to it...I had to put it back on repeat. Such a deep song that I hold very special to me

When your outcast friends stop being outcasts with you, and an inexplicable kind of toxic cocktail of emotions starts to choke you, a weird mixture of relief that they made it their way, but at the same time, you're still there, in the same place, left behind...and you begin to search for reasons why, why are YOU always alone? That, that is what I feel through this amazing piece of art.
