The reason Osha got the planet right during the test was because she was no longer lying. That was after they had resumed the test, something we didn't actually see in episode 3. It's not an inconsistency, it's a continuation of a previous scene.

Yeah, that's simply willful frustration making a simple thing a problem at that point. We got Osha's POV before, which was flawed - thinking Mae tried to purposely burn her, and not knowing the extent of her interaction with the Jedi during the test. All it was is Osha continuing the test - Indara even talks with Sol after about her passing the test, but after getting "coached". So, consistent with before, in Ep3 they cut away soon after the trick of her pretending to guess wrong, and Sol saying "correct" each time, then telling her it is OK to give truthful answers if she really wants to be a Jedi - which we know happened. We knew in advance she passed the test and that some of the scene wasn't complete, it wasn't a big stretch to think the test resumed instead of some situation like them saying *"We know she purposefully got them wrong, ergo, she would have gotten them all right therefore she passed."*

35:54 This was my biggest question in the episode because we still dont know exactly how the girls were created and for what specific purpose. Clearly the other witches have some deep need to have them. I had originally thought the 2 mothers would just reincarnate themselves, or essence transfer into the girls, which is why they have that weird line during the Ascension about "upon my death - do you promise". Its confusing and I hate that I have to wait another week. Theres still so many other questions to answer that they can't possibly wrap it all up next week.. but I hope they do.

Thanks to Brandon, Maude and Tom! 🌑 The "we must be sacrificed" misquote little 'Mae' conveyed to 'Indara' and 'Sol' had a huge impact. They literally thought the girls were in mortal danger. 'Aniseya' actually said, "It is about sacrificing a *part* of ourselves". 🔸 It's also wild to learn that 'Sol' was imposing his own wants (to have a Padawan... even though he might not be ready) onto the situation. He even almost lost his temper with 'Indara' at the end. Looked like he was set to hit her. That shows a very un-Jedi-like conflict that adds to his motivations. 🔸 And don't get me started on 'Torbin' being all immature from boredom and homesickness. 'Indara' turned out to be the most reasonable one of all.

I am surprised at the hate this show receives. I guess it could have been streamlined into a movie, but if your options are to strategically conceal/reveal information or just let a show fizzle down, I will take this one. I agree that the protagonist energy is not strong in this, but it’s better than the prequels where you had to try to worry if Kenobi could successfully ride a giant lizard through a million robots (yes) or if Anakin would see the folly of his ways (no).

34:30ish mark- Indara was not the main instigator by any means, but there was multiple small decisions along the way that she ultimately allowed or endorsed actions that lead to the catastrophe. Sol pushed going as a group instead of just her, cheated during Osha's testing and Indara seemed to realize that, Sol insisted they go and save these girls, Sol convinced her NOT to tell the Jedi Council anything, which were all situations in which she said NO first, and then ultimately folded every time. All those little moments pushed them towards that end result. In that way, she was very much at fault because the top decision maker, she really could have said no, listen to me and were calling the council right now before things get out of hand.

Seems to me like they showed that's their way of using the Force to move around undetected or outright teleport. Even if it's just a form of illusion, Mother Aniseya was clearly taking Mae to go help Osha, but defaulted to the skill she typically uses to get there without these strangers' interference. If it is teleportation, it's akin to Nightcrawler stepping into the brimstone dimension then coming out at another point quickly. If it is illusion, it's smoke and mirrors to move unimpeded. Either one, she hadn't moved yet or was not dematerialized enough to not be stabbable; and Sol thought it was part of whatever the witches use to sacrifice the girls.
@bajansamurai
@bajansamurai 22 күн бұрын
I get the idea that we think more is owed in the explanation of the twins' creation, ultimate purpose, and potential, or about the witches' history and use of the Thread; but so far they've given hints that we can make certain assumptions. Mother Aniseya used the convergence to basically create life from her own essence. It is basically her act of using the Force instead of technology to produce a clone of herself. Instead of one, she created two, maybe intentionally, so they're even more exact than twins. In the method of split creation, however, they got slightly different portions of Aniseya, so neither of them is truly the same personality as the other or wholly Aniseya. This is why their physiology only takes after Aniseya despite being carried in Koril. The only thing we can't satisfyingly answer from context clues is what the sacrifice would have been and if it was literal or metaphorical. Were the twins meant to lead the coven by containing Aniseya (or all of them) or channeling them from the Force/Thread after death and rebuilding the coven, or were the Twins meant to be used as sacrifices and lead them from inside the Thread?

I think the show deserves some credit for assuming that the audience is smart enough to fill in some blanks. Or maybe if she “planned to let OSHA go”…not have all of the witches with arrows and say that up front instead of starting off with it was a mistake to come back here…you knew they were coming back…because they were coming back to pick up Osha, which you already knew…ridiculous.

Episode 3 and 7 should have been one long episode IMO. Maude's commentary is once again on point, particularly about it making more sense if Indara decided to withold the events of Brendock from Osha alone. This series needed soooooooooo much more Aniseya and Indara. As for the line about "your good intentions will lead to your downfall"... it's called Revenge of the Sith, not Revenge of Your Good Intentions for a reason. Also, you cannot be a Jedi Master until you've successfully trained a padawan to knight, so Obi-Wan was a knight in AOTC and a master in TCW/ROTS as Anakin had been knighted.

Maybe I’m just grasping at straws here but everything is down to Indara. SHE told everyone to leave the ship so that she could wait for the council’s decision. We never heard directly from the council, just what Indara told everyone they said. So, when she says that they need to lie, it may be a way of covering not just the team, but herself as well if she went against the council’s wishes.

My long shot theory goes like this. There's a vergence on Brendok and there were vergences on Exegol. Palpatine threw Ben Solo into the vergence on Exegol but only part of him crawled out. Another part, the Kylo Ren part, went through it and emerged at Brendok in the past. He came to know the witches and guided them in making the twins receptacles for the spirits of the 2 mothers. He attended the Ascension (he was the tall hooded figure) and saved Mae from her fall when the bridge collapsed and became Qimir's master which is why the Kylo Ren theme plays when Qimir is around. Thus Kylo was both the first and the final Ren, and Qimir is a KOR, and Mae was being tested to become a knight but failed. Osha will however succeed as she will kill Sol for the murder of her mother when Mae tells her what really happened and so she will become a KOR while Mae will forgive Sol, forego her quest for revenge, and decide to settle on a desert planet and become a moisture farmer. What do think SW fans?😂😂😂

Maude nailed my issue with POVs. Here’s my question: who is the protagonist? Who can I relate to, with motivations I can understand? Who’s the “straight man” as they say? There’s no character for us to latch on to. Even Sol is a total mystery, last week people were guessing he’s evil lol
@revrodgers

I think that’s the point. This is a mystery series and most reviews are missing that.
@harryevans1111

@@revrodgers mysteries are also supposed to have a protagonist that lets us relate to them even as crazy things happen. That’s why most noir detectives are such simple, relatively one dimensional characters. There are very few highly rated mystery movies out there where the protagonist is a total enigma, that doesn’t make a lot of sense to the audience until the very end. It’s not impossible, but it’s extremely hard to pull off.
@acolytesounds
@acolytesounds 22 күн бұрын
I agree that it makes it hard to follow but I also think that the way they set this up, with the whole "Rashomon effect" purposely removes the viewers from a POV to latch on to until we know the totality of what happened. In Rashomon, the POV we get is almost through the eyes of the judge who each character is pleading their story to. Really need to see the next episode but yea probably not done half as well as Kurosawa

The story is so thin and full of holes. Why does Osha want to be a Jedi if all she has known is her coven wirh seemingly no visitors from the galaxy? What makes the Jedi suddenly fearful for the twins lives? The fumbled words of a child? It would have made much more sense to have gone with Maude’s storyline.
