I think you would have been ahead to grab a metal cutting blade for your circ saw and built jigs for it. Grinders leave so much nasty grit around, I try not to used them much.

What prevents the grinder from rotating on the axis of the two bolts? Vibration is immense between metal when the grinder is cutting into metal. I would feel more comfortable with one more contact point to prevent rotation.

@@Alvawelding20 I have a 6" angle grinder that was gathering dust in my tool closet. I needed a way to make better cuts on steel. I made a stand that it is attached to so that it makes nice square cuts. I will be making a new guard for it so that I can put on a 10" blade on it. Don't worry the 10" blade has a high enough rotational speed rating that it will be safe to use.

Good point, but the bearings don't spin, just move about 30° so the crap won't affect them much. I would not bother with ball bearings if sleeve bushibgs are available.

Подшипники варить 😢.Сколько смотрю роликов везде их варят.Это правильно?И полка на которой лежит заготовка не правильная.Гвозди резать.Если что по крупнее то ударит в конце по диску.На три-пять сантиметров шире должна хотя бы быть после диска придерживая тот кусок что отрезается.После такой самоделки хочется дать ей название ЧП-самоделка.Или же эту самоделку нужно крепить у края стола.Чтоб детали сразу падали на пол и то не вариант если больше 80-90 сантиметров будет отрезок он коснётся пола и дорезав до конца прижмёт диск и вуаля диск разлетится деталь выкинет.Мастер будь аккуратней семь раз подумай.Много чего не показано.Диск чтоб не горел а резал нужно чтоб деталь на которую ложиться диск не была по центру диска.Чуть впереди тогда будет резать а не гореть.Хотя Вас это не волнует.

When you even weld on ball bearings, its so clear that this is amateurs work. Apart from using a grinder for this purpose. But at least buy 2 bearing housings or make 2 sliding bearings. This video is so not okay…
