I don’t entirely agree with Prashad. Not to say the axis of resistance haven’t taken losses. Of course they have. But he portrays Israel as more powerful than they are. They are not godlike. Hamas is firmly in control of the civil and military in Gaza and will always pose a threat to Israel. He talks nothing about Israeli losses, about the attrition exacted on the IDF, the wounded and killed, which is probably far higher than Israel reports, or the decimated tanks and armored personnel carriers. He says nothing about the IDF’s loss of morale, and the fear of Israeli people for their lack of safety, or Israel’s economic woes as a result of the axis of resistance.
