Hi all, I’m the creator of this video. I’m really not sure why the like counter is being odd, but I’ve just reached out to KZbin to look into it. I would like to clarify that I would never buy likes-that is completely against the spirit of the competition and all that I stand for. I’ve notified the Breakthrough Junior Challenge organizers about this so they are aware and so it will not unfairly impact the others’ performance in the popular vote. Hopefully, they can track down where these extra likes are coming from. In the meantime, thank you for taking the time to watch my video. I hope you enjoy it and learn something new!

Love the inclusion of the field interaction diagrams! It really helps give intuition as to why we'd expect a Higgs boson as opposed to just some flat Higgs field or something. Awesome stuff!

Very nice! There was a time when scientists wanted to create an even bigger sub-atomic particle collider than the Hadron collider in Waxahachie, TX, but they could not convince the powers that be to spend a lot of money to build it. Do you know why? Because they used the term "Higgs Boson" particle. If they had used a different name (such as the "God particle"), then it may have been built after all.
