I’m soooo sorry you knew there was a huge plot twist in Silent Patient! 😭 That absolutely takes away from the excitement of reading it! The plot twist literally had me telling everyone about this book for like a week after I read it!!! & i finished all of the books from good girls guide to murder SO FAST because she just set the stories up so well & it was incredibly easy to digest. Probably because it was written for teens, like you said, but still a super enjoyable series! :)
@ver_non17 Жыл бұрын
I didn't expect the plot twist whatsoever 🤣 Even till the last pages, I was completely dumbstruck. I think it's because I wasn't expecting much and wasn't looking into plot twist anymore. (People in the reviews have said this book has lots of plot twists and is filled with it. So while reading this book, I was actually counting on the twists to happen. But it didn't. So in the end, I kinda stopped expecting 💀)
@vi5996 Жыл бұрын
yeah. the experience gets ruined even if you know there's a plot twist but not what it is. i read it not expecting one at all so it was incredibly shocking 😅

@ayeshamaryam7094 Жыл бұрын
i’m also a reader and I wanted to answer your comment even though i’m not the one you were asking. so, I hope it’s alright. I have been a reader ever since I can remember but the past 2 COVID years, I truly locked in with my obsession to reading. And just like everything else in life, practice. practice makes improvements. the more you read, the faster it will be to read- at least in my experience. And the more “complicated” “hard” books read, the more you’ll learn and the more faster it’ll be to read books that are “less complicated” which ultimately helps you improve your speed. Hope this helps 😊
@lilacfields Жыл бұрын
some people just read differently! i personally read faster because i don’t have to read each word individually and can picture very vividly. some people need to read slower in order to picture what going on or aren’t even able to make pictures in their head and need to take in every word. it’s okay to read slower if it works for you.
@kimmmy7149 Жыл бұрын
hi, i want to answer this question. i guess it has something to do with your peripheral vision and your vocabulary, so you can perceive the worlds in your mind through reading the text. improve your peripheral vision and vocab and you'll be a fast reader.

Actually waiting for Breanna’s honest review on AGGGTM.. is it just me? Or the reading vlog actually skipped from AGGGTM to Normal People? Hahaha I’ve read books 1-3 of AGGGTM so am rooting for your honest review about it 😅
@ayeshamaryam7094 Жыл бұрын
it’s definitely not just you. the only clip I saw for that book was when she first started talking about it, before reading it. And then it just jumped to the next book. it most likely was just an honest mistake and that’s okay ❤

i lost the footage of my review so that’s why it’s not included 😓 i gave the book a 6.5/10! it was a good story but, i felt that i’ve read a this story many many times. the writing style is also quite simple so, i didn’t find it as gripping as the silent patient hence, the lower rating 🫶🏻
@alexakm3614 Жыл бұрын

@nicoleyeung555 Жыл бұрын
Hi breanna! Silent patient & normal people are 2 of my all time favourite books. Silent patient i read in 2019 before book tok even became a thing. I love Michaelides’ writing style & even read his 2nd book (don’t think I’d recommend it tho bc my expectations were too high from silent patient and like you, i was looking for the clues for the twist). Normal people i read earlier this year (also didn’t find it from TikTok) and i have to say, i love how it was so raw and real with the characters’ “issues”. I interpreted how Rooney titled the book normal people to comment on how what’s normal in today’s society is actually so f*ed up. Maybe you focused on the relationship aspect too much & will enjoy it more if you read the book looking at the story from the individual perspectives of Marianne & Connell as 2 separate people instead of a 3rd person perspective waiting for plot points.
