Hi Sidney....Sonya here...I Finally got the Reduction!!!Yeah!! Remember I told you I had to lose the weight...Well I got down the 18lbs...Girl everything went well & forward from there. I’m now 3 days Post Op...I still can’t believe it....I’m sooooo happy with getting it done. I can’t wait until swelling goes away & soreness from incision taper off... But I’m enjoying & thanking God for the successful surgery & appreciating the journey...Thanks again for all your videos and personal inspiration when I needed answers to some questions... ❤️... You know I rewatching your videos again just to see similar post op experience... Glad u made the videos & take care of you...& I know you are taking care of the Girls..Lol : ))

How much did you weigh ? Do you have to be a certain weight?

@@tumarajones3407 Hi at the time my weight was 221 or 222. MY plastic surgeon said “he would be comfortable if I lose about 20 lbs””. Some surgeons have different requirements. My doctor wanted to be safe as possible and I did mention to him I was trying to lose weight. With that said, the results is much better if you lose weight 1st. Overall I was not happy HE wanted that but I knew I needed too rather I wanted a reduction or not. He just made me more accountable to do it. It took me 3 months hun but hey it was all worth it. I have no regrets and I’m still trying to lose. So it’s a WIN WIN!! : ) ) Best Wishes!!

I got Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama as well. I'm under my parents insurance for another year. I gotta go try to get this done. Thank you for sharing 💁🏾‍♀️

Yes girl go ahead and get it! When I saw the breakdown price for the surgery I was like 😶 no way I could have gotten it done sooner without it. Hope all goes well 💓

What health insurance do you have if you don’t mind me asking? I have had four different health insurances in the past couple of years and each of them have just told me that it’s not a covered benefit on my plan.

Hi! At the time I was my mom’s plan she had Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. Usually they will cover if deemed “medically necessary” you may have to have a referral from your PCP though. I hope this helps 🫶🏾💗

Was the Doctor that referred you to a physical therapist and eventually plastic surgeon a family practice doctor or a general doctor?

I don’t have BCBS of Illinois, but I work with that insurance often, and it’s the best insurance plan to have in Illinois. They cover so many things.

I have BCBS in Texas and I work the state. I’m assuming the insurance is about the same. My pcp sent the referral to the surgeon and the insurance approved the referral for 12 visits. The nurse at the surgery center said usually that means they will approve the surgery since they approved it for a few visits. Was it similar for you?

@@lupitacortez9502 omg! I have a consultation today with a surgeon in Dallas! Any tips? I didn’t get a referral from my physician .. I just called the plastic surgeon directly and that took my insurance

@@aaliyahgreen7331 if they took your insurance that’s good. I needed a referral on my end. But I’d say to wear tight bra to wear you can see the indentations from your straps. Make it noticeable. Mention back pain A LOT too
