@Erik Erikson Yep. For me I didn't include it bcoz it's avoidable as opposed to the other three I mentioned where they are doomed to die no matter the choice you make. The saddest part in this game for me, however, is when you get the 'Sad Ending' where you failed to save Ganer, and thus didn't get to make the Township fly, resulting in Ryu transforming into a great dragon and sealing off the Gate, just like his mother did. I feel like inspite of the Good Ending where you saved Ganer and made the Township fly, the ending where Ryu sacrificed himself is the 'Real Ending' because it just spells beautiful irony and parallelism to his mother, and the inevitably accursed fate of the Chosen One, and the Dragon Clan as a whole. In addition, after I played "Persona 3" in recent years (I won't spoil it but if you haven't, please try it, it's really good), I have so much more appreciation to the BOF2's 'Sad Ending' now.
