Here is the second world map theme from Breath of Fire III. Also called "Far", quite a sober name.

This song, this game, was ahead of its time. it had such an impact in my childhood, its was due to this game that i learned english, was having trouble with the desert(i was 11 at the time non english speaker) , google translate etc were not a thing back in the day, i took it apon myself on a summer vacation, to fully translate the game to portuguese with a dictionary.

Two overworld themes that represents Ryu's personality. The first part was his childhood full of innocence and discovery. This one is more about his adulthood, fulfilling his destiny and responsibility as the Brood Prince.

Today when I woke up, my mind was playing a fragment of this song but couldn't exactly remember from where. It's been almost 20 years and I finally found it was from this great journey. ...Memories are strange huh? Makes me remember great times like the guy who sent you to die in the desert with the wrong directions. Or my favorite where I got stuck: "Bow down and pray before me..."

bro I called the hotline for that disgusting statue. ABSOLUTE BS! I know exactly what you mean...I hum the boss music to myself now and again. I think of all the games of my childhood, this one will always be a hard stuck in my heart.
@ELNIPLO3 жыл бұрын
dude, i left the game alone for a year after being stuck in there. Then I tried again and did a lot of things before going in there, I didn't left any stone unturned, did everything, killed everything, picked every item, talked to everyone, and yet that thing still asked me to bow down and prey before it. I got depressed when I saw that sign again, and I let the joystick came out of my hands, I literally let go in disbelief... AND THEN IT HAPPENED. I couldn't believe it. I feel you bro.

it's melancholic, like you know that someday you'll have to leave, wether metaphorically or physically. and you can't do nohing about it, so you keep going on and hold on to your hopes and strength.
@elenabeatricemartinelli84266 жыл бұрын
yes! well said. the only "new" game I found to be so important to me is Okami, for now. there are many talented teams, but the kind of game that BoF is is the result of both wonderful and utterly painful life experiences that are usually known this well only among the older generations. it's hard to find someone this sensitive and down to earth. it truly reflects the empathy and maturity of the composer. and with this, I think we said the same thing with different words again XD

Okay, I'm starting to freak out here. Earlier today, before I turned on my computer, I was watching a baseball game and this song started playing in my head. The first song I thought of after it was this song because it made me feel loneliness although I have a future and a place in the world I am slowly coming into. And most of my friends, who weren't real, aren't there. But, still, it's as though, they are in some distant place and my new life will always be so far apart.
