II did it!!! I finally got sub40 and World Record, super proud of this run!!
Final time is around 39:35.90, I turned on my timer 14 frames late, and ended the timer a few frames late.

Well technically link never faced Ganon when he was with Zelda and the champions. One of the memories in the game show how, and why link was put in the shrine of resurrection. He was protecting Zelda from a bunch of guardians and was badly injured. And Zelda told some guards that were with her to take link to the shrine of resurrection. So we will never know if link would have defeated Ganon if he had never been put in the shrine of resurrection.

you first do a normal jump while running, then you focus forward with either ZR or R (don't remember which one) - in order to equip your shield. When you equip your shield while mid-air, link does a tiny jump. The rest of the action sequence is not entirely necessary, but you can activate your shield menu and remove the shield to make for a safe and sturdy landing.
