Breath of the Wild, Discovery, and the Heat Death of the Universe

Over five years ago, Breath of the Wild launched and since then, I don't think many games have been able to stand up to it. Why is this? Also, why are we all going to die one day?

This video is short, but it nails the issue right in the head.. the reason and lesson to learn that people don't really seem to understand. A lesson Nintendo knew very well, but money talks louder, and they were not about to leave all these carefully resources they crafted aside without milking them once more! I hope they are forced to care really soon! Because waiting another 6 years for a third game in the series, with the same Hyrule map and the same known systems.. is not a game I want to play.

good video, but you make it sound like zelda being open world was a new direction, but the first zelda was also open world. It was kind of linear, but the whole map was still open.

I like videogames with no maps, like subnautica, it forces you to draw yours, therefore to go absolutly everywhere. Of course it's important to find a way to tell coordonate/distances/angles otherwise it's a pain

Video games are bad? Now that's a good channel name. 10/10 Why were you in my recommended? Never played this game, never will, but the title drew me in. Half clickbait. In any event, nice little video that doesn't draw itself out for longer than it should. However I believe there's something off: While there is an acknowledgement on your part of the fleeting nature of what may draw people in when it comes to games, it also would be worthwhile to note that it is only for a subset of people enjoying games. Perhaps mainly children and the "grown-up" version; quotation marks being here as a way for me to mock these stains upon a dead humanity. We can sense a certain melancholy, though not one of a manchild's nostalgia crying out on a dopamine fried brain. Rather, you present yourself as someone realizing the reality of things as they stand for anyone, eventually. And it does not just apply to video games: One thing I'd like to point out then, is that there could have been more to your attempt at causing an existential crisis; a term being thrown around rather deliberately these days - to which I think is a testament on how weak people are to accept the world surrounding them. You could have fairly simply transposed this feeling of inescapable loss in due time towards the actual, physical and abstract reality. Not just stay in the virtual one. Still, props to you on bringing the subject in a surprising natural way, even if it would feel abrupt, the fact that it was really fit well with the subject matter. The first part to explain the discovery and first experience with the game was well made, and pointed out major points on why the thoughts of the matter were as such to you, on which you were pretty clear (unlike my half cryptic tone here) with. Pretty cool video overall, you could go in so many directions but of course we'd all like a specific one. The one I would for you to take is not one you should actually take, so don't, and do what you want. Good quality for the content here, though I believe some more work on your essays would be a great benefit, especially if you plan on staying on somewhat philosophical or metaphysical topics: Do not, please, deliver half-baked beliefs and truths, or stupid platitudes with no actual meaning behind them, save for the random thought that a stoner would have conjured up after doing weed regularly for a decade since he was 16, hence frying his brains out fucking hard and being generally useless in any sort of society or community. Elevate yourself and elevate your potential community. We've got enough of this garbage around in many circles. Though I tend to be extremely cynical and pessimistic, I still don't spell doom or preach nihilistic cringe "teachings", which are pretty surface-level beliefs anyway; take my word, still, with a grain of salt. I may be wrong and your own path is the right one for yourself, less you hurt. Good luck have fun
