I hope, that they will be more creative with the Dungeons in the next Game.
@TheOwnersOfTriforce7 жыл бұрын
These were creative, but we're just disappointed all of them were beasts. Imagine how much a Divine Beast would stand out in a game like Twilight Princess or Skyward Sword. That could have been pretty cool, but it was sort of lame how all these 4 dungeons were made this way in this game.

In the next Zelda games, I hope they take design notes from Hyrule Castle (having dungeons with free exploration and natural appearance), but have objectives in those dungeons (like finding pieces of the boss key) so that you can't just go straight to the boss. And maybe have completely optional dungeon items like the Ball and Chain, Titan's Mitts, Gust Jar, Hookshot, ect that would make the dungeon, boss, and world exploration easier. Have more original bosses and make more of them, and they could potentially be the best set of Zelda dungeons in the series.
@ShadowVincent37 жыл бұрын
This ^^ I would happily sacrifice half or more of the shrines for dungeons like this. Even if they aren't quite as big as Hyrule castle, it'd still be great
@TheOwnersOfTriforce7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that would be cool! The 3 fragments of the boss key in Goron Mines in TP was such a cool idea that we'd love to see again, and we wouldn't mind if they were more hidden in a more open dungeon layout, like you're saying.

TheOwnersOfTriforce there will be one extra fifth dungeon in the second dlc which I bought about a month ago did you buy the dlc yet?
@jeremiah58677 жыл бұрын
I meant sixth dungeon I always think of the divine beasts as the only dungeons for some reason.....
Before I watch, I will predict some comments and the order of the list: 5) Medoh - Symmetrical, very simple, atmospheric, good music, basic mechanic 4) Rudania - Basic mechanic, simple puzzles, good beginning 3) Hyrule castle - Easy to access, fun to explore, non-traditional, lacks structure, many skippable areas 2) Ruta - Good use of many options for water, feels connected, somewhat difficult puzzles, linear 1) Naboris - Complex, multiple levels, many basic puzzles, chests are more of a reward, decent amount of combat I'm sure if I got this speculation wrong, there's a good reason why though.
@OliyTC7 жыл бұрын
I forgot to mention Hyrule Castle's music, but it's combat element was something I overlooked, and the atmosphere and vastness never really stood out for me and felt like it was dragged out to a degree, but I can understand why people like it a lot.

@swillas7 жыл бұрын
Woohoo I've been waiting for this list!!! I'm still not entirely sure how I feel about Hyrule Castle, but Vah Naboris is easily the best divine beast. The layout was by far the best and most complex, and certainly the most difficult. It was a really fun challenge. After that I'd say Vah Medoh, but mainly because it was a good dungeon to play first (which I did) and then it is jut so incredibly fun to feel like you're gliding upwards when the beast is tilted, and it actually had some decent puzzles. Third on my list Id say is Vah Ruta, which was good, but didn't live up to the enjoyment I feel when playing other water dungeons (like Great Bay Temple or Lakebed Temple) and the experience felt too easy for me after having to fight a freaking Lynel. That's not to say it's bad, though. Finally, in last place is Vah Rudania. I enjoyed the beginning with the lights out, but it didn't come back after the first 5 minutes. Also, the dungeon is a lot easier than I expected for a fire dungeon, and the part with carrying the fire on the torches was easy, but stressful for me because I was afraid of not making it to the next torch in time before it ran out 😂😂. Anyways, not all the dungeons were ideal, but they all had their moments that made them shine.
@TheDeagster8777 жыл бұрын
In my opinion, if all of the divine beasts were more like hyrule castle where you weren't just looking for a map, 5 buttons, then another button. If they were bigger and aloud you to climb, if they had a more intense theme or more enemies or mini bosses that jump out of nowhere guarding a nice weapon or shield, if they just had more little puzzles that were optional like hyrule castle has with the koroks and shrines, they would have been a lot better.. Just imagine those guardian turrets in the divine beasts. I wish more dungeons were like hyrule castle.

I actually agree with your list. Vah Medoh was too easy and a short divine beast to complete. Vah Ruta had a great build up to entering the divine beast, especially if you took the route where Sidon was looking for you and I enjoyed the battle against Vah Ruta. I actually liked the way you have to enter Vah Rudania even though it was quite slow. However I enjoyed the divine beast especially the beginning when it was dark. (I think they should have used that as controlling the beast instead of rotating 90 degrees. Would have made it even fun. Could have used the same mechanic as the dark temple in A Link between Worlds. Don't know the name of that dungeon though. ) Vah Naboris is my favourite divine beast with the build up to get the thunder helm from the Yiga Clan (loved Master Kohga fight). Even though it was a difficult beast to complete, I loved the music. Hyrule Castle was a great dungeon. It took me hours to complete it and at times I had to backtrack to get the memory, shrine and hylian shield. However I enjoyed exploring the dungeon
@TheOwnersOfTriforce7 жыл бұрын
Nice! Oh, that's actually a good point about Rudania! It would have been cool if they made puzzles with light and darkness, and you'd just control the openings on its back that let the light. Great idea! The name of the dungeon in ALBW is Dark Palace, so you're close enough xD Also a good about about the Yiga clan, cause that was pretty cool. Thanks for sharing your thoughts :)

I think the main goal of Breath of the Wild was that the overworld itself is the dungeon. The divine beasts are more like giant puzzles than actual dungeons. I know Zelda is mainly known for its dungeons, but BoTW was a needed change in the formula to change things up. I fell in love with exploring every region, fighting tribes of different enemies, fighting the big overworld bosses, and finding shrines to solve. Would it be cool to have the overworld of BoTW and the dungeons of Twilight Princess? Hell yeah, but I wont complain if BoTW 2 just gives an even better overworld with more variety of enemies.

Hello owners! Sorry it's been a while since I've caught one of your streams or commented on a video but I've been busy with moving. Also I completely forgot that I hadn't commented on the dungeon themes list yet. Woops! I'll probably leave a comment there soon... Anyway, this was a good video! I didn't really like the dungeons too much in this game, but it was cool hearing your opinions on them. I wish there were more than 5 :( 5: Vah Medoh- Gotta agree with you here. While I found most of the dungeons to be relatively easy this one was just too simple. It was very cool to enter the beast though so it gets points there for me. Also the boss was way too easy as well. 4: Vah Ruta- Again, I agree with this placement. The water puzzles were kinda neat and the entrance was cool but again it's a bit too simple and, like you said, didn't have great atmosphere. The boss was also pretty easy again. 3: Vah Rudania- Damn three in a row!Just as you said, the entry was boring and kinda weak. The darkness was really cool and the fire puzzles were pretty alright. Not too hard but not too easy. Kinda mediocre to me but better than the other two. 2: Vah Naboris- Well would you look at that, I agree with you again. The electric element was very cool and the puzzles involving the electricity made the dungeon feel really cool. Definitely the most challenging of the divine beasts, which I like. Also, I actually really liked this boss while the rest were pretty bland. That plus great atmosphere and great music make a good dungeon in my books. 1: Hyrule Castle- And here it is, a list I completely agree with you on. Imagine that... This dungeon is so badass and has such great buildup. The music was amazing for a castle invasion and made me pumped to defeat Ganon. It was a welcome challenge and I loved every minute of the exploration. A great final dungeon in my opinion. Well, there's no use in making my own list, as it's the same as yours! Again, I loved the video and your explanations, and can't wait for the next video. Probably a boss ranking... we'll see :)

I'll just rank it in my opinion too: 4. Medoh (Gameplay wise it was nice, I'd tie it with Ruta but Ruta has a better story and lead up, and the connection with Mipha made me like it more. The titling was nice and all, but not too unique and puzzles weren't all that great. It had the most fun battle IMO though. Windblight was also pretty cool. Especially since I had basically no arrows when fighting it, I ran out after phase 1. 3. Ruta A bit more challenging, story with Mipha was good, the leadup was nice, but I'm rating by mechanics itself: It was fun making the trunk rotate things, though Waterblight is an ok boss, a piece of cake though. The battle against Vah Ruta had amazing music but wasn't too fun. 2. Vah Rudania Leadup was ok, but the battle was awesome. If you don't climb at all, it can be pretty metal gear. I loved the dark area at the start and then liked the dungeon mechanic after. Fireblight was sort of cool. 1. Vah Naboris Best leadup (Yiga clan hideout was great, Kohga was hilarious) Awesome music during battle (especially when on foot) and it was the most threatening and scary to me as it marched around the desert causing sandstorms and zapping me with lightning. The sand seal riding during the fight was a nice idea (Jeez though, have you noticed the sand seals bear a huge resemblance to Thunder Dragon Lanayru? No wonder the Gerudo worship them.) And I LOVED spinning the dungeon around, it had the best puzzles and was a lot of fun, and Thunderblight was awesome and the best boss. Hyrule castle isn't a very traditional dungeon, but it's amazing, with the music too. (If you exit the inner area the moment it kicks up it sounds especially awesome.) It's huge and amazing, with minibosses all over, looks huge, threatening, and amazing, plus the secrets and diaries make Hyrule castle mysterious and awesome. I think I like it better than Naboris actually.

I did enjoy the divine beasts a lot, because as the rest of the game, they were a different kind of approach to the formula. The first one I tackled was Vah Medoh btw. Hyrule Castle was insanely well done, favorite endgame "dungeon" ever! However, I still think that one or two regular temples or such would've been great. Why not make the Forgotten Temple a real temple for example. Ganon could've sent one of his many minions to seal the Great Goddess statue and lower her power or something like that. But to be clear, I love this game as it is, I consider it one of the best games ever made.
My ranking & why: 5: Divine Beast Vah Ruta I did notice the music, and heck was that creepy. I just didn’t think it really fit the “Ancient” and “Water” vibes that it should give off as much as the “Cursed/Evil” vibe. The surrounding mountains/lake were cool, but only the lake really contributes (and you can’t see it unless you look down) and you aren’t even outside that much to see it. There isn’t that much water inside, which (if I were designing the D.B.V. Ruta) I would cover the ground with a thin layer of water to improve this. The challenges were a bit simple, and there wasn’t much of any enemy combat. Overall, not that great of a dungeon, but at least the Zoras give you a really good thanks afterward. 4: Divine Beast Vah Rudania Outside, the atmosphere was great, and (of the Divine Beasts) second only to Naboris in my opinion. Didn’t notice the music, which is something I should have noticed to build atmosphere. Enemy combat was better than Ruta, but still nothing special. Simple, traditional fire puzzles, which fit with the theme of the dungeon. The boss (fireblight Ganon) was way to easy though (didn’t get hit once). No one in Goron City really thanks you like the Zoras though. Sure, you get Daruk’s weapon, but nothing special apart from that. Overall, atmosphere was great but puzzles were lacking. 3: Divine Beast Vah Medoh Again, puzzles were lacking. Again, didn’t have enemies that great. Again, didn’t notice the music. But the way you get in is epic. It just feels so satisfying to slow down time when you’re hundreds of feet above the ground and fire an exploding arrow at an ancient laser-firing Guardian-Cannon thing. Atmosphere was amazing. I was actually a bit scared of falling off even though I knew that Link would just lose a heart and reappear back on the D.B. Also, looking down at Rito Village from an ancient bird machine at night when there’s this calm, golden, home-feeling glow from Rito lanterns motivates you to beat the Divine Beast so that you can get down there. The boss offered a decent challenge. Good atmosphere, good boss, lackluster everything else. 2: Divine Beast Vah Naboris This dungeon had the best, most challenging, most threatening (you can get shocked) puzzles. Again, it didn’t have much in the way of combat. The music fit the “Ancient,” “Electric,” and “Cursed/Evil” vibes, but it fit “Ancient” and “Electric” best. The way you get in takes a while, but it’s pretty cool. Complete a stealth mission to obtain a sacred Gerudo helm? Awesome. Shield surf with a desert-native seal while shooting bomb arrows at the hooves of an ancient, divine camel machine? Cool. Walk around inside of that same ancient, divine camel machine, solving puzzles to save the Gerudo? Purely epic. Haven’t even mentioned the atmosphere. Looking around and seeing the desert (far, far below) and surrounding mountains was really cool. From the humps of the camel, you can see the town that you need to save. The boss was actually really tough (AbdallahSmash026 is proof). Good atmosphere, good puzzles, goos boss, but too similar to the other D.B.s to make it higher than runner-up. 1: (dah na na nu naaah) HYRULE CASTLE The buildup is amazing if you come from the south. Hyrule Castle Town Ruins paired with its theme is very unsettling. There’s Guardians and lifeless shells of them littered everywhere. And if you venture too close.... OH MY GAWSH HYRULE CASTLE THEME FROM BOTW IS AMAZING. It fits the final, ruined feeling it should have. Gtg will update later.

wow the past few month`s i felt like something was really missing.. but then i noticed you guys uploaded again.. and i gotta say that i missed your video`s lol to be honest i dont really agree with you on this list with a few things, so i made my own list 5) Vah Rudania: i really dislike this one, the path up to it was just super boring and plus i didn`t know about the fireproof armour back then so i had to stock up on food and the dungeon itself wasn`t really that fun compared to the other ones and the boss was easy 4) Vah Ruta: now the rest of the dungeons i really enjoyed.. i liked the part with sidon and he was an amazing character the puzzles we`re challenging and the boss was fun to fight too and i liked a water dungeon for once.. never thought i`d see the day lol 3) Vah Medoh: i really enjoyed this one, the first part with you flying in the air and shooting the lazers THAT WAS FRICKING EPIC, and the puzzles weren`t that hard but still fun.. the boss was not rememberable (if thats even a word) but still fun non the less 2)Vah Naboris: Now i gotta say that i really agree with you on this one. i liked this one the best becouse it was the most challenging and my first one.. and since it was the first time.. i didn`t know about the map mechanic`s so i was just walking around and figuring out what to do for an hour or something.. and the boss was so hard... i would say that this ganon is the most powerfull of them all.. even the ganon you fight at the end.. 1) of course this one was in first place.. and who can blame us? this was a really fun dungeon... and i like how people at stables tell you there is like good loot over there but its very dangerous.. that really builds up the suspence.. and this dungeon was fricking huge with alot of stuff to look at.. and the final boss was very epic.. but still very easy Its nice to see you guys upload again.. i hope to see more of you soon Cya guys!

I didn’t really like the electricity in this game to begin with so a whole dungeon based around it just wasn’t for me. Another great vid tho I always love to hear your guys opinions

This game would a little bit better if before every dungeon you get a new slate feature that functions like a traditional Zelda item (i.e. Hookshoot) that's optional for getting though the dungeon, but you get to keep it afterwards, allowing for easier mobility throughout the rest of the game

If you feel like dissing the lack of music in the over world, that's fine as your opinion. But the music that is there is absolutely amazing. I can name you a whole bunch of songs, but I'd be here all day.
@TheOwnersOfTriforce7 жыл бұрын
We said the music wasn't bad and that the music in the overworld (where you spend most of your time) is sort of lacking and disappointing. We made it clear that we're not dissing the music in the game in general, it's just that we don't hear the pieces of music as often as those or the stables music.
@The_Blazelighter7 жыл бұрын
TheOwnersOfTriforce Well, I was kind of responding to other people in the comments who say the soundtrack is bad, not really you guys. But since your here, can you tell me if you're doing a top 10 song list for BOTW?

To me Vah Naboris was much easier to get to, but was a difficult dungeon. My first dungeon was Vah Ruta.

Overall, the dungeons (divine beasts, whatever) were disappointing. Cool concepts, poor execution. Thing is, some shrine and korok seed puzzles were more interesting. 5) Hyrule Castle - Sure you can go through it...you can also fly to the top, which is what I did. 4) Vah Medoh - This was the most straight forward of the beasts. However, it had the most interesting puzzle between the divine beasts anyway. The very first room with magnesis blocks and stone blocks on rails. This could have been a really cool puzzle if they pushed it a bit further. I also liked the part where you had to control a stone ball through the room. 3) Vah Ruta - This is pushed as the first dungeon, but even as that it's too simple. Once I figured out you can move the trunk, the place just fell apart. One thing I liked was how you got the map. I forgot that cryosis can prop up the door so I was stuck with no map for a few minutes. I noticed you can use staisis on the door, so that's how I got past it. 2) Vah Rudania - It had the most interesting transformation out of the divine beasts in my opinion. Not much to say about this other than I over complicated the part where you needed to light a torch on the spine of the beast. I tried to see if I can line up the torches inside so that I could shoot the one on top, but in the end all I had to do was just take a torch to it. 1) Vah Neboris - I did it as a second dungeon and it felt adequately challenging. It was a huge step up in difficulty from Ruta which I did first, but it wasn't too bad. I liked how this was the only divine beast you actually had to do stuff throughout the beast. In all the other ones, the puzzles you do are confined to the single room you find it in. In Neboris you needed to line up the currents to allow other parts of the dungeon to function. Again, the puzzles weren't too hard, but actually navigating the beast felt fun.

I'm making my top 10 dungeon themes on Hyrule Amino, and Hyrule Castle makes number 1.
@Mike-bl9dv3 жыл бұрын
My thoughts on why the Divine Beasts were the way Nintendo went? Dungeons like Stone Tower Temple and Forest Temple getting such high praise from fans for the ability to change dungeon layout. The thing with those older dungeons is that those "change layout" moments came as such great climaxes/surprises. In BOTW's Beasts, changing dungeon layout is (relatively) just sort of a given. You, the player, do not go "Holy sh-t!" the way you did with Stone Tower Temple in Majora's Mask. I think that if there's something wrong with the Beasts, it's that Nintendo took one cool mechanic and just milked it. I would like to see them re-approach traditional dungeons in "BOTW's new world" with BOTW2. I want to see more traditional dungeons and how they play out with the ability to climb walls, and everything else new that came with BOTW.

The order you ranked the DBs in is the order you fight them for the boss rush.
2:30 Or you just eat food every few seconds like me lol. 4:15 I've said it on a comment on the video of this music, but I'll mention it again:isn't this melody super similar to ''the rains of castamere'' from game of thrones? So, the ranking is the same as mine, and probably most people. Well, technically I never played the hyrule castle(I stopped playing soon after playing Naboris for a number of reasons, not all related to the game), but I have no doubt it would be first. Still, Vah Naboris was a fantastic dungeon. I only played three zelda games, and this was my favorite dungeon of them all.

Hyrule Castle in itself is one of the best dungeons I've ever played. But reaching the Boss was way too easy. They should have done more to prevent the player from mounting the castle. You can literally just swim up those waterfalls and you're there. Quite disappointing. Also the Boss could have been harder and demand more of your achieved skills rather than just be a large Guardian. Dang, I can't wait for the next Zelda!

5: Vah Medoh (Way too easy. Took me about 20 minutes. And it was only my second. 4: Hyrule Castle (It felt unoriginal, unlike the Divine Beast concept. I also despised the Malice and all the Guardians.) 3: Vah Rudania (The enterance ruined it. Other than that, it was okay.) 2: Vah Naboris (The atmosphere was amazing. It challenged me nearly as much as my second favorite TP dungeon, Lakebed Temple.) 1: Vah Ruta (As my first Beast, this left a huge impression. One thing you guys didn't bring up is that this one was basically one giant room. How ever it was entirely puzzle. It also has my top 3 favorite songs. Waterblight Ganon, Inside Vah Ruta, and Attack on Vah Ruta.
@sirdancelot40987 жыл бұрын
I really liked how few dungeons there were because I got to explore more, which is my favourite part of the game. I can agree with this list as well, vah medoh was really weak since I completed naboris right before it and radunia was very slow. Ruta was my first though so I had a hard time with it. And naboris was very fun yet challenging, overall great list. Sorry for making you read that.

Wow, only four dungeons and the final one making 5 five dungeons? Reminds me of the number of dungeons Majora's Mask has (not that I have played it yet). Also, the Divine Beasts that I heard about were a bird, an elephant, a salamander, and a camel? That concept, especially with the second place one, gives me huge vibes about Shadow of the Colossus. Might be the huge size of them all, I don't know. Hope the next video is the Boss Ranking, but that's your decision to make :)
@TheOwnersOfTriforce7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, we agree. When we saw the trailers before the game came out, and especially by the look of that camel walking around, we instantly thought of Shadow of the Colossus as well. The size, and the climbing in the game sure made us think of that :)

You know, I haven't played the game (yet), but I'm pretty sure there is nore to theses dungeons than it seems. I might be wrong of course, but I'm pretty sure what's interesting is their level design as well as their use of space, forcing you to view the dungeon as a whole as you manipulate it and moves object across it. Now, again, I haven't played the game, nor am I an expert in game design, but that's the impression it gives to me.
