Lynels are odd creatures. Most enemies want to kill you on the spot, but if you're just passing by a Lynel, it acts as most predatory wildlife. It draws its weapon, it watches you, it attacks if you get too close, but if you keep your distance, you can simply walk past a Lynel, it will aknowledge that you've been there, and go on about its business.

It really depends on what distance you're at and what you're doing. Really close, obviously its battle time. Generally if it spots you from far away it will either patiently wait for you to approach it, or if you're actively trying to get away or avoid it at a distance where it can still see you, it'll use its elemental arrows on you.

Lynels are more of a "provoke me and you'll get curb stomped" monster, but they don't just straight-up try to kill you when they see you. It's merely self-defense in my eyes.

Majora's Mask is, itself, an entity of evil, so it would make sense that the enemies won't attack you by default as long as you wear it, instead, just stare at you in confusion (and perhaps sometimes also get a bit creeped out). Safe to say _this_ Majora's Mask may have links to the original, or it may even _be_ that original. (Note that you never actually destroyed the Majora's Mask within its title game; you simply gave it back to the Happy Mask salesman.)

naikrovek save the game just before a battle. Practice parrying, if you die just reload the save and keep practicing. You'll get to a point where muscle memory kicks in.

I just find 3 arrow bows, if I get lucky a 5 arrow bow, and pelt the Lynels to oblivion with point blank head shoots, way faster, in fact, I hunt silvers that way, I dont have money for master mode yet but most likely will also do besides, most attack except for explosion can be guarded against without perfect guard also if you have a surplus of bomb arrows, remember they add extra 50 to attack, or you can try to get twilight bow and snipe from god know where, the arrows have a 100 extra damage

I disagree. I already spent 250 hours in hyrule. in my second playthrough on master mode and im weaker than ever and I like having the mask for the same reasons i would use the others. I still had to get the thing and only knew where it was because of my experience. It doesn't work on guardians and I can just run around enemies i dont want to fight with out the mask anyway. If you get into battle its not like you can just put the mask on and they stop, you have to actively put it on and decide to avoid enemies.

I really liked Phanton and the Majoras, the rest is kind of useless. They work with all the Lynels (I have not tested it yet in Gold). Yes it is available in master mode.

you can't deny though. being able to get those sets of armor easily after the Great Plateau in Master Mode are super helpful for extra dangerous version of Hyrule. get the Phantom Armor especially after leaving the Great Plateau in Master Mode provided great defense for when I couldn't afford armor and great attack-up for when I didn't have the Barbarian set with me yet.

It's based on progress. Once you've taken out 3 of the divine beasts (if not 4) there will be a silver enemy among groups and most Lynels have been replaced by the stronger silver variant. Keeps the game challenging.

I could've sworn that Miyamoto himself confirmed it, though I can't find it anywhere. That being said the Hyrule Historia reads this: When Link first set foot in the Twilight, the crest of the Triforce of Courage shined on the back of his hand; when he returned to human-form he wore clothes the hero wore. Link is taught mysteries from the ghost of the hero of time. Since he returned to his childhood, he’d felt regret that he would leave his name as hero. Therefore, the “son” of Link speaks proof of the courage he inheirited mysteriously. Apparently it is still debated despite this, but I can't see how that passage can be interpreted to be anyone other than the Hero of Time from Orcarina of Time and Majora's Mask.
