This was so hard for me to watch.... as a rage I once lived with, flooded my body as I watched this video.... this is taking forever to type as I cannot stop shaking with hatred for those who blew into the breathalyzer. I lost my husband and my children to a drunk driver... I was married 36yrs ago; and due to a 16yr old drunk driver - a widow, and childless for 34yrs. I was left with injuries that left me in a wheelchair for 7yrs, the inability to ever have anymore children, and now although only 52yrs old, I am riddled with osteoarthritis that has me walking like an 80yr old and medication that cost more per then my rent.... and that 16yrs old boy - he lost his licence for 2yrs and walked away from the "accident". So watching someone WILLING to blow into your breathalyzer seriously made me want to vomit and just scream. How you keep yourself calm when you find people willing to 'help' you get into a car drunk although we all know you are NOT DRUNK, BLOWS MY MIND. If I had been within earshot (and not knowing it was a social experiment), I would have been on the phone to the police within seconds. What you do is so important, even if it brings back horrific memories for some of us.

I think I'd either offer him a ride or get him an uber.(if it was just some random guy I'd def opt for the uber.) I work at a restaurant/bar so im routinely getting ubers for people or just driving them myself. I know most of them so i dont mind much anyway. I hate to admit it but I used to drink and drive when I was younger.(20 or so years ago) I've since learned how reckless I was. Luckily I never hurt anyone with my stupidity but damn I can't help but look back at myself with shame and cringe, regardless of if I hurt anyone or not. I guess because of my shame or guilt I try to help others out with rides and whatnot. I remember when I used to drink just wanting to sleep in my own bed. So I know what lengths people will do to get home to sleep in their own bed. Idk if ive actually helped save anyone for certain. Perhaps I just annoy the drunks at work but I'd rather annoy people than run the risk of not saying something and having someone end up hurt or dead. I've got enough guilt on my conscience, I don't need any more. Lol Plus I just feel it's the right thing to do....and after my past actions I feel I owe a few good deeds to the world....ok, so I prob owe more than a few. Lol

This made my heart hurt...... 33yrs ago a 16yr old drunk driver took my husband my children, the chance of ever being able to have any more children, left me in a wheelchair for 7yrs and now a life time of debilitating pain with every step I take. There is a REASON a persons car is fitted with these devices and it sure as hell NOT for first time or low over reads!!!!! I can't believe anyone helped! I genuinely feel sick!
