I love the darker green. The fruit color shows up better. When the fall comes the colors will show up more.

Beautiful tree and the dark green pot is perfect. The leaf colour will look great with it. The other pot had an amazing color and it’s beautiful but the shape of the dark green one looks so nice with that apple tree. Thank you for including all of the additives and fertilizers that you mentioned; great info!

It 's beautiful in the pot you gave it. The wiring and styling improved the tree a lot. My compliments.

Definitely the dark green pot. With the exposed roots looks better, at least to me.

David, Peter Chan told me that Crabapples can be propagated from root cuttings. He didn't state whether or not the same can be done with regular apple trees. Have you ever done so?

PS: do you know of any other trees that I can take root cuttings from as well. Thanks again David

Thanks for the great video David, just wondering if you add all the additives to the soil to your trees you are repotting, before adding the final medium and fine soil?

I prefer the oval :D colour of the lotus is better but the overall shape and match i find better with the oval.

You mentioned Topsoil a couple of times, what is the definition of topsoil in bonsai? I associate topsoil with Garden soil here in the US.

Please explain for me why you believe that the pot is way too large. What do you anticipate will change in a smaller pot? (Super new guy)

Aesthetically, the darker green. But, for me the shape is more appealing rather than color.

Myth and Lie: Japanese bonsai soil is required for growing bonsai. The "black soil" does not clog up the "pores" of a tree. Trees grow quite well in nature without special clay and grit. Match the soil to the climate. Japan is not the only place with soil for trees.
