He's actually only fluent in Kazakh, Russian and pretty good in English and some Chinese. He sings in all those languages many times teaching himself phonetically and with dialect coaches. Even if he doesn't speak the language, you'd never know it by his emotional performances of each phrase and song. He lives the song. This song is in French and is his biggest hit among us fans.

The digital show was during the pandemic where people couldn't come together, so Dimash was able to organize an online digital show to, 1 give his fans something to look forward to, 2 help some food charities around the world, 3 he probably wanted to sing/perform. This song is French. And he can sing in 15 languages, lol not speak it. Although on average during his concerts he sings in English, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Italian, French, Chinese, Spanish, and Russian, technically I guess he does some vocalize (no words) songs too. Depending on the country he will try to sing a song in their language, so he's sung in Armenian, Turkish, Ukrainian, Japanese, and a few more.

I am so happy that you chose to react to this version of SOS. The digital 2021 version is the perfect version, in my opinion for a North American audience. The visuals demo the fact that Dimash is the full package plus give the song a stronger flair. Just in case, possibly more info for you: Dimash 2022-Vocal range: Growls (vocal fry): G0-G1 Vocal Fry: G#1 - D2 Chest voice: E2-C#5 Mixed voice: D5-C6 Head voice: C#6 - F#6 Whistle: E7-D8 Natural range: E2 - F#6 4.2 octaves *Full range: G0 - D8 7.7 octaves To put it in context: He sings lower than bass in Opera. The lowest note is usually C2....and higher longer sustained whistle note. Total Dimash range is G0-D8. By the way, a D8 is a couple of keys past the end of a piano.

Just to set the record straight, Dimash isn't fluent in 15 languages, he has sung songs in 15 languages. He's fluent in Kazakh and Russian and is extremely good in English. Personally, I would say he's almost fluent in English. I know lots of people in the U.S. who don't speak it as well as he does!
