You get it. You're a Dear. The world has actually shifted on its axis ever since Dimash arrived in 2017 China. . While others may try to imitate his range and sing like Dimash....they can never duplicate the magic. The full spectrum of Dimash is otherworldly. Especially for his age. The gap between Dimash and everybody else is difficult to explain precisely in words. What is it? Dimash is an experience. He touches us profoundly. His mastery over his instrument is astonishing.. He can sing anything. And does. But, while people amazed at the octave range....they know there is something different about his voice and way of singing. The subtle nuances that hit us in our depths are hard to pinpoint on a conscious level. . He connects us to our inner heart. He engages our mind. Some listeners aren't comfortable with that. He has his haters. Oh well. Says more about them than Dimash imo. . He is the total package. Beautiful inside and out. When he sings it is without trepidation or pretense. He secure in his manhood and does not fear revealing gentle traits of tenderness and fragility. He's physically engaŕged. Sports and healthy habits. No drugs or alcohol. He lives in reality and faces it. He holds himself with dignity and class. Hes a scholar and a gentleman. Not yet thirty and has already accomplished a lifetimes worth of masterpieces and notable work. Even when he slouches he does it with calm and symetrical acuman. Lol He maintains boundaries, values and his principles. He respects the same in others. Sensitive but strong. His power can come like a hurricane....or a gentle breeze. The control seems superhuman. Self discipline and hard work is his life. And he loves it. Humble and grateful for all his opportunity and support. He calls his fans Dears because without their love, his voice would be meaningless other than to gain fame. The devotion of his Dears is world wide. People travel across the globe just to attend his concert. His family are always nearby and a big part of his grounding. Great people. Dimash comes from a world rich in art and culture, as well as the sufferings and struggle😮 of war in the fight for cherished freedom. Kazakhstan finally got its liberation from Russia with the fall of the USSR. His country and its beautiful culture and people he wants to show the world. It's NOT Borat I hope you will continue with your discovery of Dimash. Don't be afraid of falling in love with him. We know. Even many red blooded hetero men feel endeared to him. He's a beautiful being of light and hope. An alien had to be the only explanation. Who sings like that?? It's not just about the range. Notes sung without great artistry and true spirit are just icing.... but no cake. Genius music. instinct cannot be taught. Tonal quality can be improved through work, but timbre is unique...timing and phrasing , dynamics, emphasis....versatility all can be worked on to improve...but ones innate senses of these things cannot be taught. He is endowed with a sophisticated understanding of music and personal connection. Confident not arrogant. Nor ego driven. He doesn't need validation. It's about something bigger than himself. He knows he's loved. And his is a heart filled with it. Shy but open. In control and with calm, despite occasional nervous apprehension.... he will face anything required of him. When I listen to Dimash....I feel welcome and invited in. And sincerely appreciated. I wish only the utmost in happiness for him. That evil never touch him or his family and that joy and happiness fill his days. He's proof of the beautiful capabilities that lie in humanity. Let his tree flourish 💐

These middle easter sound (melisma) he does in one or another song. It’s really awesome. The thing with the flowers has something to do with respect for the artist. It's a cultural thing. The audience listens to a performance without yelling or screaming that the artist can no longer be heard. No sound may be missing. In return, they then shower Dimash with flowers and gifts. That's the norm there. He then always donates the flowers to hospitals, retirement homes or similar institutions. And I love his outfit. It's just great. Like James Bond🥰. 23 seconds in one breath with riffs and runs. Unbelievable. Btw he didn‘t won the Voice. He became second in The Singer competition in China 2017, because of not being a Chinese. He sang this song on the New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2018. This is an international contest for young performers founded by Igor Krutoy in 2002. Dimash sang here as a guest. This song was in Russian, a language he speaks fluently. The gentleman at the end you see standing and clapping is the famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter Igor Krutoy. He has come out of retirement to work with Dimash. True masterpieces were created. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range, such as Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship. Thank you for not stopping the video before it ends. If possible, always watch the videos to the end. Very often there are interesting things to learn. Either there’s something to laugh about, or he’s talking to his audience. He always thanks his musicians. He is incredibly humble and never acts like a star. When he is praised, he constantly says that it is thanks to his teachers and his parents, who made it all possible for him. He’s just incredible. In this case he thanked the band A-Studio. It’s a Kazakh band who wrote this song. However, Dimash sang it differently. And in my opinion, much better 😄. If you like some really great fancam versions then I recommend the one from the Moscow concert: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q6mvmaqce6uIh9U Or another one from the Arnau concert: kzbin.info/www/bejne/j3uonXp-Z82kq9k They are all a bit different Next please react to Olimpico from his Arnau concert in 2019. In this song he sings in Italian. You can find it on Igor Krutoy‘s Channel. Olimpico is another masterpiece that Igor Krutoy wrote especially for Dimash’s vocal skills. It was written for the 2nd European Games in Minsk, Belarus 2019. And that’s why the lyrics are also very motivating. This song and this performance from this Arnau concert is my absolute favourite🥰 I think this version is the best, because his performance is so intense and breathtaking. The light show, the background dancers. Everything. With this song in this version I always get breathlessness. The way he represents himself on stage, the hand movements. I think he has incredibly beautiful hands🤭(and apparently many cameramen think so too, since many of the camera shots during his performances very often only show his hands. Sometimes it seems as if he is conducting himself. This is really fascinating). And the facial expression, the look. There he looks so commanding😱. In my opinion, this version of Olimpico is one of the most impressive performances ever. If you don't know what the song is about, you'd think he was going to war and is calling his army to a lost battle 😅! It’s absolutely stunning. And I don't even mean the vocal part, but also his stage presence. The whole package. Oh wow I’m starting to rave again…🤤 Sorry but I can’t help it🥺. I swear it is mind-blowing 🤯 kzbin.info/www/bejne/mpyzhGmqbZmknZY Greetings and love from Germany👋❤️

I'm glad you didn't go straight to the most recent performances, because he is always improving, so older songs, though great in their own right can sometimes suffer in comparison. This concert had the Kazakh band A-Studio with a variety of singers taking the place of the band's singer who had died. This song was written by the pianist, and the concert was organized by the man in the white shirt who stood up at the end of the performance - composer/promoter Igor Krutoy. After this, Igor and Dimash started working together, at first covering songs that Krutoy had written for singer Lara Fabian, and then composing music specifically for Dimash's voice - so you will see them together often on those songs with Krutoy on the piano. That last section of this song, from the time Dimash started jumping up and down 'til the end of the runs, was 23 sec. on 1 breath. For a performance from around the same time period where Dimash inserts some ethnic vocal styling, see his guest performance at Singer 2018 (the year after he competed on that show), with his unique cover of Lionel Richie's "Hello".

This song was written by the excellent band A-Studio, who accompanied Dimash in this performance. At the end of this clip, you will see a bald man standing and clapping. That is no ordinary audience member. It's Igor Krutoy, a very famous classical and contemporary composer. In the years following this performance, Krutoy and Dimash have collaborated to create music only Dimash could perform, no-one else. It's as if Dimash unlocked the next level for Krutoy, removing all conventional constraints. As you peruse Dimash's body of work, you'll run into Krutoy again and again. He's a fabulous pianist, too.

👉Dimash's deep and gentle voice... I melt away. What a wonderful song, wonderfully sung by Dimash. Did you hold your breath? 🤣 The final run was 23 seconds with one breath. 👏👏👏 Dimash sings here as a guest on the New Wave 2018 (international competition). Igor Krutoy, the man in the white shirt at the end, a famous Russian composer, music titan and initiator of the New Wave had invited him. Now, both are a "Dreamteam" and work together from time to time. They are friends, have a father-son-relationship. ... and of course Dimash donates the many flowers to hospitals and retirement homes. The band that Dimash accompanies at this performance called A’Studio, who composed and performed “Sinful Passion” in 1998. The band is also from Kazakhstan (Dimash's homeland) and this Dimash performance has revived the song. *Original: A'STUDIO - Грешная страсть - kzbin.info/www/bejne/eX-cl3utndOUla8 The glottal - stops is a throat singing technique called "bleating", “goat's trill” or „Trillo caprino/ little goat“ used by the indigenous peoples of the Far East. In Iran called this technique „tahrir“ In 17th-century Italy, 'trillo' referred to the so-called 'Monteverdi trill' or bleat, a tremolo-like repetition of a single pitch. Singing these trills was frowned upon. * Maryam Akhondy - kzbin.info/www/bejne/oXK6h5Wipql2iJI * Sainkho Namtchylak - kzbin.info/www/bejne/iYTUd4adhd-Wnrc * Diana Ankudinova - kzbin.info/www/bejne/e56wqYKsarKnr6c (Thanks to all Dears who helped to complete the information)

Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than twelve(12) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "POPera" he also has a very pleasant, HUMBLE and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, counter TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato, whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from USA 🇺🇸 "Dears" Forever ❤️ Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. This is a cover of Sinful Passion originally by A´Studio. The bass and the piano players were part of that band and the second was one of the songwiters. 8:55 the greeting/farewell to the spirits inherited from Turkic/Tengrenist traditions in certain muslim tribes in the ancient Turan to pay homage to the ancestors and spirits of nature. In Spanish I know it as "hammering vibrato" or "glottal vibrato". In Iran I heard they call it "che-che". It is not yodeling but an ethnic technique relative to yodeling but needs more control on the notes you sing than in yodeling. 3:50 SO DIFFICULT songs that make the singers cry - 2 (ENG SUBS) kzbin.info/www/bejne/rmSoiHWaYpaGa80

Thank you for your reaction! Dimash’s talent is mind blowing 🤯 A'Studio was invited by Igor Krutoy to participate (individual concert) in the 2018 edition of the New Wave festival. Igor Krutoy, the man in white shirt giving his standing ovation, invited Dimash to participate in this festival in the same year. "Sinful Passion" was created in 1998. This is how the song was performed, exactly in the 20th anniversary of this song. It speaks of greater love, greater loss, greater despair, greater desire, greater passion. The loss or lack of this love, in Dimash's interpretation, has the dimension of a loss of life, which one is very anxious to restore. In place of the original purely pop instrumental part (inserts), Dimash included (after the last chorus) his vocalize, a stylized onomatopoeic (like a lament) eastern ornament and the words "дай мне, дай" (give me, give me) with a 23-second melismatic on the last syllable, which is not a simple substitute for a pop musical theme, but an extension of the story sung earlier in words. ❤️🎤🔝🌹🌹👏👏

Love is Like a Dream follows this perfectly. A beautiful ballad by Igor, his piano player, full of rich chocolatey notes. Then a truly transcendent moment that will lift you up even more than this. Somehow

Hi Alison, it sounds as though you haven't heard much about Dimash's version of "Sinful Passion" originally composed by Baigali Serkebayev (at keyboards) and performed in 1998 by a Kazakhstan band, A-Studio. To honor the song and band, Dimash, also from Kazakhstan) asked the band to play the song on the stage with Dimash. The tribal/ethnic riff section that Dimash sang was sung as a tribute and to pay respect to Batyr Shukenov, who died in 2015. You may already know that Dimash has so many different sounds because he has been taking singing and piano lessons since he was 5 years old when his teacher discovered he had perfect pitch. He has earned his first University Bachelor's Degrees in Classical Music (Opera) at the music institute of K. Zhubanov University in Aktobe and his second Bachelor's Degree at the Contemporary Music (Jazz, Pop) at Kazakh National University of Arts in Astana. On 18 June 2020, he graduated from the same university with a Master's Degree in Composition by defending his Master's thesis with a perfect score. Although Dimash was invited to enter the Ph.D. Program in Classical Music (Opera) in 2020, he received the Bolashak International Scholarship In December 2022, where he is studying for at least one year in "directing" at the New York Academy of Film (I believe that's the correct name of the school). I found these references from Wikipedia. Dimash has so many colors (sounds) to his voice as I believe he is trying to create his own genre he calls "Neo-Classical" which is a mixture of Opera, Pop, and other musical genres. As you can tell, I'm an enormous fan and huge admirer of his vocal technique. I hope you and your subscribers found this info interesting. I did the best I could, in terms of accuracy, at 1:14am 😁

The band named A'Studio that accompanies Dimash, is the same one that composed the song minus the lead singer named Batyrkhan Shukenov, who died of a heart attack in 2015. The song was originally performed in 1998 and the lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebayev, (the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash.) The tones in the middle are oriental Arab technique (or traditional Qazaq singing, called Joqtaw. It is a lament to the deceased singer). The last run is 24 seconds on 1 breath. The man in the white shirt giving a standing ovation at the end is Igor Krutoy. This is the first time he heard Dimash. He came out of retirement after seeing this competition to begin his collaboration with Dimash.

Welcome back Alison great song choice to come back to for sure, I always enjoy watching people discovering Dimash and his immense ability. His cover of this song is amazing just as you would expect for sure just as his 2020 Tokyo Jazz Festival Version of Ikanaide (Autumn Strong) is very impressive. It is actually interesting to contrast that with the original singer Koji Tamaki. They take quite different approaches to it to suit each voice and interpretation. Glad to see you back and recovered and looking forward to more reactions.

For those who like information about Dimas' songs: Sinful Passion - The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. Moreover, in the final part he added, with an oriental technique (from the Kazakhstan region). The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band name is A'Studio (Kazakh pop music group based in Russia, "Alma-Ata Studio", Almaty city). The dead singer (who Dimash was a fan of) left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poetess Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebayev, who is the long-haired keyboardist, who we see in the video that accompanies Dimash. Hugs from Brazil! G'day Alison, Sorry you're sick, hope you get well soon. A Dimash performance will certainly make you feel better. I love watching these Dimash reactions because you don't need words, the look on your face says it all, in a nice way of course. Everyone has run out of superlatives to describe his performances and rightly so. Now I only ask this question because you are younger than my own children and I know they would not have a clue. Have you heard of an Australian band from the 60's called The Seekers. They actually out sold the Beatles back in the day. The reason being that Judith Durham's 1st-year anniversary of her passing is a couple of days away so I thought a reaction as a tribute to her would be nice. Here's a link to a song I'm confident you'll know - kzbin.info/www/bejne/gaOvhZhnlJ6tqdE&pp=ygUbdGhlIHNlZWtlcnMgaSBhbSBhdXN0cmFsaWFu ❤❤❤
