Sometimes snooker is like a great movie movie with an unlikely scenario that does make sense in the end. It gives you that feeling that whoever wins, the bad guy or the good one, it does not really matter, the plot being more important.

@@richarddarlington1139 - to me they both appear to be nice-enuff & 'decent' guys , maybe Ronnie is a little less 'forgiving' stupid and 'imposing' fellows with intentions to 'rub-off' whatever 'gain' from his undoubtedly well-deserved 'fame'. How often he has conceded in the after-play interviews that Lady Luck played a large role in a difficult win over just about any opponent ....

I understand the "breathtaking" factor in this video. However, to me, it feels like the dynamic of this games is caused by careless mistakes and unlucky misses rather than brilliant shots and excellent excecutions. but ofc, we are talking about two of the best players in their prime, so still an amazing game.
@apaarsadhwani
@apaarsadhwani 3 жыл бұрын
I think you're discounting the match conditions. The fact that the two "best" players are playing each other leads to immense pressure on both of them. Every shot gets harder. Every missed shot likely leads to self-doubt and self-loathing, making it even harder. Losing "winnable" frames exacerbates this. The scoreline getting closer, well that's nerve wracking at that stage. IMO there is no real careless shot here, it's more that the mental aspect is all consuming and it takes over their game.

The floor sounds so squeaky and spongey, how does the table stay level?
@droceretik
@droceretik 3 жыл бұрын
The legs are supported directly on brick/concrete piers. The rest of the floor is supported on joists and bearers together with piers. The floor boards around the table are attached to the joists by nails. After a while the boards loosen due to shrinkage and some warping and you can hear the creaks as the players walk around.
