That was one of best frames I've ever seen. Snookers, tough decisions, heavy atmosphere, chance to go to a decider, fluke snookers, big mistakes, final frame of the championship, this game had all in one. Thank you

I have to say this editing style is gold! I often watched the short form for time reasons but it just does not transport the atmosphere and the drama and the chopped-up commentary is a pain. I rarely find the time for full matches so this is the best format I saw so far. I would be delighted if you uploaded these versions of current matches on their play date. Judging from the comments on short form videos I saw, I am sure this would be appreciated by many. Subscribed!

Thanks Coral! Unfortunately, full matches on the play date are out of my scope for now. However, I plan to test a pilot of the final or semifinal of the Riga Masters. If the outcome is good and ready on time, I will share it.

The tournament that turned around Ronnie's career at that point. He was in a slump, not winning much and battling his usual demons, many thought he was close to retirement for real. But this win gave him the fire and confidence he needed, went back to his standards and won the WSC again.

What a frame to win the title, Stephen Maguire put up a good fight,he has a lot of guts, but he was up against the greatest ever, anyone else I believe he would have won, but Ronnie isn't just anyone else, such a pleasure to watch him play.

Since then O'Sullivan has won 3 UK's 4 masters and 3 world titles.Not bad considering the best snooker he ever played in his life was in 2008 when he won 6 out of 12 tournaments including the UK and world championship.

Joe Johnson asked if Maquire thought he can win when he needed a snooker, that reminded me of when Steve Davis once made a clearance thinking that he could win only to find out that he lost the frame by one point, I also seem to remember the commentator explaining that the referee was powerless to inform Steve Davis of his impending disaster.
@michaelolson69824 жыл бұрын
Thanks Cesar, try and find the match,Big Len Ganley was the referee it would be great to watch it again.

Do you remember who the opponent was?
@michaelolson69824 жыл бұрын
@@CesarMuroya unfortunately I cannot remember the opponent but I was hoping that Len Ganley referee and Steve Davis would be enough, Steve Davis had another match where he was awarded a free ball after potting the free ball he potted another red that resulted in a foul and I believe that in this situation somehow it becomes a seven point foul.

Snooker has certainly gone global. Obviously, Neil Robertson won the world title and his country stages a big championship down under. Anyway, in 2004, Scotland had two players, destined to be the next best thing since Stephen Hendry and John Higgins. One, Graeme Dott got to the world championship final that year and then becoming triumphant two years later while Stephen Maguire won the UK Championship before we said goodbye to 2004. Maguire defeated Ronnie at the UK Masters in 2008 turning around his Telford conqueror in the UK final. This, in Germany was an eventful frame and Ronnie prevailed.

Ronnie gets slightly impatient at times. Made some reckless shots after which Maguire failed to punish him. Not taking anything away from Ronnie who's a great player but if only he could be more consistent and less reckless then he can certainly take on Judd Trump whose gameplay is so immaculate right now. Damn fighting for his top 16 spot... so much of snooker is in the head... he must have lost a lot of confidence not winning. And of course he went on to win good stuff after this...gained in confidence... like trump after northern ireland. Hendry could not handle not winning after some time. Still nobody is a match for our new mexican drug lord ronaldo del sullivan and his killer mustache!!! It would be funny if he goes on to win some stuff with a mustache he should keep it for a little while. He mentioned one last shot at glory for the remaining seasons some time ago. Although he says a lot stuff that dont mean anything all of the time but anyways I cant wait.
