We stayed in Frisco and felt like it was a great decision. It’s an easy drive to multiple resorts and a decent town in the evening.

I stayed at Silverthorne. Ended up skiing Brecks and then Loveland. I loved that region and would stay there over Breckenridge town or Aspen because it's so much more central and cheaper

If you can, take skiing lessons at Taos. They used to have (and probably still do) week long same group lessons in the a.m.s that are very very helpful for improving skills. They had aggressive and nonaggressive groups.

I have $200 saved from working at chuckie Cheese can I rent skies , get hotel, food, possible hot tub deal? Maybe beers at pub, is this all feasible for $200? I am looking to take a well earned vacation. So thinking leave on fri, and stay till mon?

Is first/second week of January too early to go?? Im reading some that say its too early and many lifts will still be closed and many saying it will be totally fine

Depends on what you expect. I don’t think it’s too early on a normal snow year but it’s very weather dependent
