The recorder player is Benoit Sauve, I am a recorder player myself so I have watched that clip many times. Note that Benoit has his right hand on top, normaly you have the left hand there. If you think the clip has been reversed, I can tell you its not, he is playing that way. This also means that his recorder/s has been changed, for example placing the finger holes in a different way and also the way you drill and shape the holes. It is quite complicated to manufacture a high quality recorder. If you want to listen to maybe the best recorder player today, search "Kristine West recorder - Full Movie". This swedish girl is an outstanding musician, listen f e to the first piece by Vivaldi. The recording was made in Vätö church, Sweden. Enjoy!

I saw Michael Brecker at a jazz club in Uppsala, Sweden, in the mid-90s. On the last song he impressed by putting away the saxophone and sitting behind the drum set. Regular drummer hit with a trumpet and played amazing trumpet solo and Michael Brecker played amazingly well on the drums. I'll never forget this.

What people gotta realize is that improvisation is like justice (well suppose to be) , BLIND. If you play blues, latin, funk, rock, swing, whatever.. you can improvise over it...Jazz has found it's play in almost all music forms. You don't gotta like what your listening to. Just respect it cause thousands of jazz musicians died so Michael brecker and you and I can learn there really isn't any boundries in music. especially jazz. Brecker is one of the few guys in his time that did it WELL in all!
