If you want to get the best out of this walk do it the other way round to the way this video does it. Walk up to the back of village, turn left up Brecket - if you go over the bridge you've gone to far - follow the twisty road up till it turns into Forestry Land (go through the gate) the walk will be signposted off to your left a short way up - but walk past it a wee bit and take a look at the other quarry a bit further up the path before coming back down and joining the Brecklet trail (which will now be on your right). The first part of the trail is through woods and takes you up to above and behind the quarry with the views over Ballachulish, the Bridge and Ardnamurchan beyond IN FRONT of you, not behind you as it is if you start off from big quarry entrance. The walk gets more interesting as you go as the wooded part is less interesting than the latter - unless you are kinky for Sitka Spruce in which case ignore my advice. Also going my way, the cafe which does a good coffee and cake is an immediate reward at the end without having to wander round the village wondering if you are going the right way or not. I live in the village and that's the way I walk it when the mood takes me.
