I really envy you on the devi stair case,I live not far from there, but I have never been up or down there. My wife had a nasty fall and in a wheelchair at the moment, so I can't get my 1960 triumph thunderbird out for a ride. I'm glad I got you two to watch every night. My favourite run. Last time I was up there I was on my Fireblade going up the hairpins - definitely more difficult than coming down. Some of the best scenery in Wales.

We think wales has so much good stuff to offer, we have a few videos there already but would like to do more. We haven’t done the coastal areas yet, is it worth doing the coast all the way around?

@@ontheroadadventure the coast is a great run, especially the stretch from Aberaeron to Aberystwyth, though some of the inland routes are as good if not better. The A44 from Llangurig to Aberystwyth is amazing, reminiscent to me of riding in Scotland. Then there's the Black Mountain road, the A4069, about 12 miles, it's the one Top Gear used to film on, another interesting run is the military road which is in the Brecon Beacons, runs over Mynydd Epynt, another is the Gospel pass in east Wales You'd need minimum of a week to get some of the best roads in.

@@ontheroadadventure it is, unfortunately our Welsh Government loathes motorists and tries to make their lives a misery, this includes motorcyclists. That road is still a great run, you never could do much more than 40 anyway unless you had nine lives.

We like to save places to a shared Google maps between me and ewa and when we find out about places we want to go to we save it on the map. That way when you want to ride there is always suggestions waiting for you

@@ontheroadadventure no never been looks a great little place. We called in at ponderosa cafe on the way to Wales 🏴. They are so many lovely place to ride on the bike in England 🏴. Wales, Scotland, Yorkshire dales and the Peak District where we live. We love Cornwall and Devon we have been there in the car many times on holiday. And it’s a place where we would love to spend some time on the bike 👍👍

The cattle grid tip great, the other thing I've had to learn is how different the bike feel traveling downhill on those narrow roads, the weight effects the front end dramatically.

Yes, this matters even more when fully loaded up. The Devils staircase is a must see though when touring wales, also the Elan valley dams.

Did this road, brilliant by the way, and was looking up for the jet fighters before realising they were below us. Tregaron start is the easiest if your a nervous rider.

Looks like a great ride that. Some great camera angles and drone work too. I wouldn’t mind riding that route myself actually but struggling to find exactly where it is in the BB. We went to Scotland last July and we went to a place along the river Findhorn close to Daless, it was called the Valley of Raptors, a good place to spot the Golden Eagles, anyway it looked identical to where you travelled along the Devil's Staircase! @@ontheroadadventure No unfortunately we didn't see any Eagle's, apparently they stay high up on the cliff sides and only come down to hunt, we did see lots of other wildlife though, including Red Squirrel 🐿️ the first time I had seen them in the flesh!

Nice vid; another tip for the DS is that if you see any signs of show on the sides of the track regardless of the tarmac being clear the very top of the DS is likely to be iced over as its in the shade...that's a day I will remember for a long time and not for good reasons but just about made it without coming off but it was very very close😮Richard ( Bristol 500 cbx)

@@richardsutton01 You're correct, it's part of the Cambrian mountains and it runs through the upper Tywi forest. Many good riding roads in the Brecon Beacons, notably the Black Mountain road from Brynamman to Llangadog.

I love that road from Abergwesyn, through the National Trust's Abergwesyn Common, on the side of the hill alongside Afon Irfon, then across the three Irish bridges to the bottom of Devil's Staircase. Have you ridden the road past Llyn Brianne to Llandovery?

I can attest to the steepness. When riding for my former club - Pembrokeshire Velo, we cycled from Kilgetty on a round trip up the staircase. I've ridden up it twice ( opposite direction) and it's an absolute challenge for a large sprinter such as me.

You could start from Llanwrtwd wells and do devils staircase and on towards Tregaron or the other way round. Put Devils staircase into google maps and you’ll see the road through the nature reserve
