Although i am in my 50s, i can relate to the "many" gifts. I am 1 of 4 children 2 girls 2 boys. The boys got everything they wanted even if it meant my sister and i got less or nothing we wanted. I have 2 grown children 1 boy 1 girl which i treated Very equal due to my upbringing. I now have 3 grandbabies 1 boy and 2 girls which i treat equally. My philosophy is " if you cannot treat them all equally, you dont treat them at all" its not fun getting nothing. As a mother and grandmother theres no greater joy than to see appreciative happy smiles ......

I love seeing kids being kids. Bree is turning 13 but still loves dolls and colouring. When i think of myself at 13....wow, i was completely different. Just a tip. If youre getting kids ears pierced, get them done with titanium studs only. This is the least reactive metal. Then wait at least the full amount of recommended time before swapping the earrings for good quality silver or gold. Even then you may have to go back to the titanium occasionally to avoid irritation. I was well into my teens before I could wear costume jewelry without irritation.

There really isn’t anything wrong with a teenager wearing makeup. There’s a lot of girls, pre teens, young ladies that like to play around and wear makeup it’s the expected norm for people that are female or identify as female. It doesn’t seem like Alicia allowed her to wear makeup that made her look grown, probably minimal makeup before she was a teen. As Alicia has said Bree is a girly girl and likes all the make up, clothes and “girly girl” things. As far as dolls, she still a child, so what if she plays with dolls. There’s no rule or law that says she can’t wear makeup and play with dolls at the same age. It’s not teaching her to be an adult to play with baby dolls, that’s like saying a toddler is being taught to be an adult because they like playing with baby dolls, make it make sense. I like the scent of champagne toast and also think it’s more of a grown up smell with a muskiness compared to something more fruity. You were just looking for something negative to say, huh? Wanted attention?

With any crafting kit with paints and markers...trust me the brushes are really bad. Get her a good brush set. and extra paint or markers. Dover press has an excellent choices in grown up coloring something for everyone. And get her a big set of crayola colored pencils and a sharpener . Paint by. Number might be nice.

“Why,” you ask. For the same reasons that some prefer hard Scott’s bath tissue over soft Charmin , a soft mattress over a firm mattress, ankle socks instead of tube socks. Beef instead of pork, and dark in place of milk chocolate. Some people don’t like dogs but they love cats, etc etc. But mainly because were all different.

I just have 1 girl(18 now) and Elf was her first makeup and still some of her favorites. FYI-you can find huge bags (bigger than garbage bags) for the big gifts. They help out immensely. Just a thought instead of throwing stuff like that away like that piece of wrapping paper. Fold it up, and I don't know about you but even though you can get bags into shoe at the dollar store, obviously for fairly cute, I always save the salvageable ones fold them up. I mean, that stuff adds up and there's many birthday parties. As you guys have a year, you would save so so much money. Unwrapping materials
