Why be negative to this video? Secretariat was a great horse but had a V12 engine* against horses with a conventional 4 cylinder engine. *Secretariat was found to have a massively freak enlarged heart giving the horse a huge advantage. Great animal all the same, but you don't need to compare against other valiant animals.

Some of the things I love about the Irish Horse-whisperer: How soft spoken he is. How respectful he always is to those interviewing him even if one or more of his horses haven't ran up to expectations, which certainly wasn't the case here, but most of all how willingly he'll bite bullet and admit when he's handled one of his horses wrong, rare though that may be. But in the case of Order of Australia, Aidan O'Brien was quick to put the blame squarely on himself for the horse not having had much success prior to the Breeders Cup because he'd been racing him over longer distances which turned out to be wrong for him. Aidan said he felt like there's be a noticeable improvement in Order of Australia dropping back in trip to a mile, but said he certainly exceeded all expectations winning the race overcoming such a difficult post position draw.

Sort of makes you feel bad for jockey Christophe Soumillon who didn't get to ride because of two positive Covid-19 test. He had two mounts scheduled at Keeneland for Saturday. The first one, Order of Australia, won the G1 Breeders Cup Mile. The second, Tarnawa won the G1 Breeders Cup Turf.

and look what ran 1,2,3, in that race Aidan Obrian and Tabor et al.. Then ,came back in next race ,ran 2nd. The day before won one and 2nd and 3rd in another...People think Baffert is the only guy . Give it a rest . He ,only will train fast , and spots only dirt Horses for owners that ... Big deal...

​@@dynasticlight8706 , a really impressive finish for trainer Aidan O'Brien for sure with Order of Australia in 1st, Circus Maximus in 2nd, and Lope R Fernandez in 3rd. I would argue though that O'Brien's 1-2-3 finish with Found, Highland Reel, and Order of St George finishing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd respectively in the G1 Prix De l'Arc de Triomphe in 2016 was even more impressive than this result, IMO.

I think Order of Australia was put into this race initially to make sure that Circus Maximus & Lope R Fernandez both had a lively pace to run at over a mile. But what most people didn't count on was the incredible talent of one Pierre-Charles Boudot in the saddle. He's been getting better season after season riding day in and day against guys like Olivier Peslier of Goldikova fame, Christophe Soumillon, Christophe Lemaire before he went to Japan, Maxime Guyon, and Stephane Pasquier who won the BC Mile aboard Karakontie. I personally think Pierre-Charles Boudot is riding turf at least about as well as any jockey in the sport at the moment.

Aidan O'Brien points specific groups of horses at these big races and attacks them with reckless abandon! A 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place finish across the board in the G1 Breeders Cup Mile, or any Breeders Cup race for that matter is a really impressive result. But I'll bet O'Brien would still rank it behind Found, Highland Reel, & Order of St George running 1st, 2nd, & 3rd respectively in 2016 in the G1 Prix De l'Arc de Triomphe, IMO.

Horses have some bit of trouble most every race,you cant really say he would have won...the winning jockey put his horse,,altho wide the whole way,in a great stalking position to win right out the gate and KEPT his horse out of trouble and when he asked?horse responded,,simple

@@normanphilp1760 Well said .Sometimes the fields of competion are much tougher in Europe etc. I know .....They run better and real distances . We are lukewarm here . The Thoroughbred was perfected in Europe and Bred of all Tesio's lines .Period.

@@dynasticlight8706 The thoroughbred was developed in England following the import of 3 Arabian stallions which were bred with English mares ... all great racehorses (thoroughbreds) can be traced back to Eclipse who was an unbeaten race horse in England ... hence the phrase Eclipse first the rest nowhere
