YES, YES, YES!!!! There should NEVER EVER be a divide in dog breeds. ALL purebred dogs should be able to do the job that the breed was bred to do on Saturday and then go in and compete in the conformation ring on Sunday. I am starting to see this in dachshunds, and it pains me greatly.

AKC & CKC shows ruined so many breeds, the best examples are the Teckel (Dachshunds) extra short legs, extra long necks, and bodies, too fat they can no longer hunt. German Shepherds are so angulated they can't be used as working dogs certainly not do Schutzhund or police dogs if they are from show lines. Labradors are so fat in the ring if they fall in the water the duck would have to rescue them so they won't drawn
