there is a stupendous long cooldowns and its getting even worse if your base doesnt work properly offline, hunger meter goes down and animals not eating even if they have food in foodbox, so you have to be sure that your base well operating during your off time. And also some animals eats the same kind of food so its better to match the type for easy farming crops. One more tip - for frequent online its better to feed animals with crops each provide 5 points, pellets - 20 but you have to spend 10 crops per pellet which is worth of 50 points
