Nice video Nick. Very satisfying fish to breed, I’ve bred them a few times using the same technique. I find the Marina air line fed hang on breeding boxes great for this type of breeding, it’s a good way to increase the capacity of the small container for water quality purposes, although the tank it’s attached to is relevant as you’ll be treating the entire water body with methylene blue! I was hoping you could point me to the title of a particular video. It was a tour of a fish room/ponds. The chap was a landscape gardener if my memory serves me. You posted it about a year ago but I can’t find it for the life of me now! I just remember he kept a few turtles in small ponds. I run a turtle rescue in the UK and I’m interested to revisit this if you can point me in the right direction. Thanks.

i had a friend in eugene or who raised daphnia in a rain barrel. but where do you get them? none in our creek. we used to have freshwater shrimp and a ramshorn type snail. no more. this is by abilene tx. angelfish are similar to this btw. green water is good for even tiny fry. don't overdo but i used to put a little in a 5g and a tiny bit of powdered flakes. the green water organisms go down to way below you can see, and they persist in the tank so the fry eat as they like.

Have you ever had any of your GBR females pass after spawning? So far I’ve had 2 separate females pass after laying eggs. 1st females didn’t spawn just bad eggs, the 2nd got about 40 fry and passed within 2 weeks.
