I tend to stock too heavily to run no filter. But I don’t understand why anyone would judge a dirty tank. Go jump in a lake or river where you find these fish. Tell me how pristine it is. A lot of these fish eat that grimy stuff growing everywhere when there aren’t bugs or whatever to eat.

Are you able to have a private conversation with Cory from the Coop to see how he navigated this when he started as both a store owner and content creator? My gut feeling tells me KZbin isn't going to last forever. What's the average span of most creators' careers, less than a decade? The store seems like a much longer investment in terms of having a direction to carry you through to old age.

Start a really cool guy. This is one of the most enjoyable fish shop tours that we have seen. This guy really shows how much he cares for fish. KFS Nick is pretty cool also.

Suggestion for people in the city with city water and all the chemicals. Way back when in the 80's , when I had a bunch of tanks, I kept a 55 gallon plastic barrel of water sitting constantly, for doing water changes. So it was never straight from the faucet. I kept a huge sponge filter that was cycled, connected to a small submersible power head in the barrel, so it didn't get stagnant just sitting there. (I had guppies in there too, but that wasn't intentional, just happened) You probably wouldn't need a power head, an air pump with a sponge filter would work just as good. I just kept the barrel full, and did water changes from that water. A lot of the chemicals will dissipate if you leave the water sit for a while, and having the cycled sponge filter will keep the water in the barrel cycled

I love this tour. What a neet guy. He explained the water chemistry in a way which made a lot of sense to me. I like how he feeds over the space of the tank and does not cause the feeding frenzy which happens from putting all the food through one hole in the top cover (which he does not have). He explained the precursor sign to a tank crash. All good stuff. 😊
