Strange question: As I am just doing research for a fiction book that I am working on writing right now, I am curious as to why you put all the rams in one calf hut with square bales. It does not look like there is enough room for them to move around. Is it just due to the cold weather that we are having? Is it for some other reason? Not in any way judging just asking out of curiosity.

We similarly do a small pen inside the barn for our rams when we combine them. Depending on the chemistry of the rams, it can be anywhere from half a day to a week before we give them a bigger pen again.
