Thanks man! Helped a lot answered a lot of my questions. Maybe some more info on when you know to start trying the intro.
@ReachOutReptiles7 жыл бұрын
After you have begun to cycle the female with heavier feeding, you can do test introductions at any time. If she is not receptive, wagging her tail and gaping her cloaca, remove the male. If she is receptive, and allows him to court her as seen without resisting, I leave them in overnight. This is our method we have had great success with at Reach Out Reptiles.

@ajourneyin3dprinting9316 жыл бұрын
It is a selling tactic "dwarf" translates into underfeed so you will think its smaller than it can get. It is s terrible tactic that gets these snakes released or given away.

Sorry great video except how did you come up with your theory that they can detect humans sex and react to that.
@ReachOutReptiles7 жыл бұрын
Their body language during breeding season is very clear and communicative. Over the years of keeping, I have just observed their reactions to myself, and in contrast females that have been around. I've discussed the subject with many other breeders as well, and most if not all would agree. This is in regards to Reticulated pythons in particular. I haven't noticed it as much or at all in other snake species, but some lizards and turtles will do it as well. I think it is an ability in the more intelligent (or at least more thoughtful, less instinctual) species.

Female turkeys and chickens can "make eyes" at human men during breeding season as well.
