Like. That's a nice town good for the retired people. But the place is quite boring for young people. In such kind of settlements, life is tasteless. If you're young and looking for a rich social life and a dynamic lifestyle, try cities like Berlin or the Mediterranean beach towns in Europe.

Keep in mind that Zuerich and Munich are just a few hours by train from the center of the Bodensee. However, what you say has a ring of truth to it. These lakeside towns are quieter, and the activities are more lax. Still, even young, ative folks enjoy mountains, lakes, museums and family-style activities, such as the ape park and the Pfaenderbahn from time to time.
